Had a lovely day meeting a wedding client today and chatting all things cake! The Spring sunshine has got me excited for all the beautiful wedding cakes coming this season!

This stunner of a vegan cake was created for Bea and Ollie last Spring and looked gorgeous set up amongst the surrounding Bath countryside. 🧡

Over the past few weeks I have been teaching a bespoke baking course to an amazing young student.
She has been learning all about key ingredients and their role in baking, hygiene, allergens, and creating flavour combinations, as well as basic sponges, fillings and meringues to build her own cakes, macarons, cookies, and brownies!
She has learnt so much and now has an amazing repertoire if recipes to mix and match to get creating and decorating at home.
If you're interested in a bespoke workshop or buildable classes, I would love to hear from you!

It's been a busy few weeks and quite a while since I've posted on here, I have lots to catch up on and lots of gorgeous wedding cakes to show you, starting with this beauty for K&A recently!
With mini disco balls, flowers from and a clear acrylic separator from .options, I loved designing this one, it had a real sense of fun yet elegant feel, what's not to love?! 🧡

I have had a blast this week with the lovely and very talented Bhavna from .bakehouse, teaching her a range of in-depth vegan baking skills and recipes, including sponges, praline, vg curds, buttercreams and ganaches, to support her cake business goals.

What a joy to be able to spread a bit of vg cake love to London!
I can't wait to see your progress and your new flavour menu Bhavna, the creative ideas were flowing yesterday!

If you are interested in a bespoke 1-1 vegan baking workshop, I would love to hear from you, please drop me an email at [email protected]

Happy Friday 🧡

Here's the finished cake, based on the beautiful picture book, "The Wonderful Things You Will Be" by Emily Winfield Martin, and an additional cake... Just because you can always have more cake!

Have you ever read this children's book?
It is one that I read to my girls often when they were little and it has such a beautiful, poignant theme. It is fair to say I was eager to take on this first birthday cake when asked!
I have been handpainting all these beautiful characters for a first birthday celebration this week, it has certainly been a labour of love!
I can't take the credit for the gorgeous illustrations though, can you guess the story and illustrator?
Final cake images to come 🧡
