Double the winter magic! ❄️✨
The first poncho ( the one in the single pic) sold quickly, so I’ve been stitching like the wind! Meet our new winter hero pieces: the “Frosted Sky” poncho (Ages 2–3) and its big sister, the “Sugar Plum Winter” poncho (Age 4).
Both are hand-crocheted using a gorgeous, heavy-textured 1970s vintage cluster pattern.
Wrestling with a mid-century leaflet using a modern yarn stash was a wild journey! Between decoding older crochet terms, fixing the corner maths, and running out of yarn mid-row, it was a proper adventure. I’m adding a full blog post to my website soon all about how I deciphered this vintage pattern—keep your eyes peeled for the link! 💻🧶

Another new venue for me this year and looking forward to having a stall here this Sunday. I’ll be taking my denim and crochet makes - all made with repurposed denim or odd balls of yarn.

The ferrets are training, the Frampton Shantymen are finalising their set list and the wonderful Winterbourne Medieval Barn volunteers are gearing up for an autumnal celebration of the harvest.

Finished and doubly chuffed because this is my very own design! 🥰 I absolutely love seeing textiles and yarn that are no longer wanted turn into something completely new.

I’m off to the craft marquee at Dauntsey Festival of Transport & Country Show today. Shame the weather has changed for the weekend. I’m positive it will be a good day come rain or shine. Although just to be cautious as it’s in a field I’ve packed my wellies!!

Busy in the Den today making new and finishing off items for my next fair this coming weekend. It’s at another new venue, I’m in the craft marquee at Dauntsey Festival of Transport.

What a great day at Chipping Sodbury Hatheralls Yard today. These denim patchwork wristlet bags and two denim covered notebook, (plus other makes,) found their new homes. I’m looking forward to returning back here later in the year.

Thought I’d be clever and try filming while sewing… turns out it’s not as easy as it looks!
I’m working on a denim bucket hat and stitching right over a sea of pins. I know some people avoid pinning like this, but it’s exactly how my Nan taught me — and if it worked for her, it works for me.
There’s something lovely about carrying those little habits forward while making something new.
