A little experiment... 👀

I took one of my design concepts and used AI to create a visual of the space.

Is it perfect? No.

Is it accurate enough to build from? Definitely not.

But could it help a client understand the direction of a design before investing in detailed visualisations?

Maybe.

I’m genuinely curious...

A detail I probably get more excited about than I should... 👀

Countertop edge profiles.

They may seem like a small design decision, but they can completely change the look and feel of a kitchen.

It’s often these subtle details that take a space from feeling nice to feeling thoughtfully designed.

Absolutely love a before and after transformation. ✨

Turning a cold, blank shell into a space that is warm and inviting for the corporate world.

Who said offices and meeting rooms had to be clinical and bland?

Not only is this an amazing space to hold meetings, it’s also a space where the architectural elements have been restored and loved to create a multi-functional space you want to be in. 🪴

This message from Laura really made me smile. 😃

One thing that stood out was her saying she was sceptical about hiring an interior designer.

To be honest, I hear that quite a lot.

It’s not always easy to know whether bringing someone in will actually make a difference, especially when you’re living in a space every day and can’t quite see what needs to change.

Sometimes it only takes a fresh pair of eyes.

We spent a couple of hours looking at Laura’s living room and conservatory and talking through how the spaces could work better for her.

Hearing that it’s made such a difference to how they live in their home is exactly why I love doing what I do.

Project Elderwood Concept Update🌲

We had a fantastic first presentation with our clients last week, walking them through our initial ideas, spatial designs and design direction. It always brings up questions and makes clients think differently about what they thought they wanted and what they actually want.

We showed them some really fun ideas and they are onboard and excited to see this come to life.✨

Our next step is to further develop the designs into more developed details to walk through with the builder and joiners, and amend the living room now that our clients have seen and thought about how they really want to live in this space.

We’ll walk you through this next process to show you how we work and think through this developmental design phase. ✏️

New project started this week and we’re taking a walk on the dark side 🪾🌲

The brief for this project is a real deep dive into the dark forest with the clients saying “think hobbit hole”.

So with that in mind, welcome to project Elderwood. ✨

A full refurbishment of a 5 bedroom home where we’re creating some really fun rooms including a hidden library, games room and craft studio.

I’m the first one to admit that I find social media a struggle, I never signed up to be a marketing manager or a social media influencer, so bear with me on this one, I will take you along for the full journey from the first client meeting to the final installation and sign off. So buckle up and follow along.🏠🎨📐
