Well it’s time for us to spend more time in our home in Spain and explore in our Motorhome… we just can’t justify keeping Ol’Smokey as well and don’t want her sat in a Marina - so with a heavy heart she is up for sale and waiting for her next custodian to take her out and show her off…. Those that have seen her will know she’s an incredible boat which we have had the great pleasure cruising and showing off her engine at festivals up and down the country… She’s at Mercia Marina which is where our journey living on boats started 10years ago when new and used built our widebeam… which we loved but the freedom of going Narrow in Ol’Smokey was revolutionary and enabled us far more travel….

Early start on a fresh morning and covered good ground so far with light drizzle…. Lovely and quiet and smell of bacon cooking frimmmoored boats we are passing many of whom are poking their heads out when hear Ol’Smokey’s engine…. How lucky are we to have such beautiful English countryside and as they say - it’s not the weather that’s the issue it’s what you’re wearing! Skipper and I snug in our head to toe waterproofs …

Turn of events mean we are cruising again this weekend ! Late one today to get to get ahead of weekend madness… rain holding off at moment… I’ll hopefully have some time to post previous footage this weekend also …. Positive is weekend cruisers cruise bit later and just had two male hire boater boats help us through first lock

We are cruising with friends towards Stone… here’s a few clips starting from Weedon with help by CRT volunteers up the Buckby flight, followed friends through the Braunston tunnel, up the locks where we met Hudson lovers Diane and Graham and onto our current location just south of the Atherstone locks which we are gearing ourselves up to go through the flight next week… lovely clear sky’s to watch spring unfold…
