Creation
A warm and big welcome to our page from the Big Pig himself, Tom. Tom established the Big Pig Pie Company in 2017 after the local’s in our pub fell in love with our BIG PIG PORK PIES. The recipes used to create the Big Pig Pies were handed down by the Big Pig’s Grannie - Bea. Bea’s recipe was from her time in service at a large country house and she entrusted it to her grandson, Tom. Tom took the recipe and slightly adapted it into the BIG PIG PIES that we all know and love today.
From their, The Big Pig created 7 unique flavours to choose from as well as seasonal variations.
In early 2019, the Big Pig Pie Company expanded it’s range to include vegetarian, chicken, fish, lamb and beef pies.
Another addition swifly came to the team - the Big Pig’s Partner - Peter. From this moment on the Big Pig has started to rapidly develop into the company it is now. Future projects for the BIG PIG PIE COMPANY is to create gluten free versions of the pies, to get our online ordering up and running and to find bigger premises to keep up with our growing demand
