Thank you for sharing 💚

This is me! Although I hadn't initially intended to, I ended up tandem breastfeeding my children - 19 months apart - for a year, making it a total of 5 years breastfeeding straight. After all, my first child was still a baby and it didn't feel right to discontinue breastfeeding. Despite the challenges associated with nursing two babies of varying ages, the benefits outweighed the hardships, especially since I was alone all day without the support of family or friends. The demands of looking after a toddler and a newborn are huge, but sitting down with both babies to feed gave me a peaceful and calming moment as I watched them bond together. I finally felt in control.

While some may consider one or two years of breastfeeding the maximum, and to stop when you get pregnant again, remember that this is the natural way to feed and nature is very clever! Nursing for longer than two years provides significant benefits, so if it works for both you and your child, don't let the opinions of others stop you!
