Established in 1990 by Hugh Haley, Phoenix Conservation offer a wide range of antique furniture services to both the private and public sector. Phoenix are members of BAFRA, Icon, British Regional Furniture Society, Conservation Matters in Wales. We enjoy approved contractor status with many Welsh County Councils and have wo

Conservator Hugh Haley visited the Ysgwrn farmhouse yesterday to care for the antique furniture.

Whilst we're only a tiny provincial workshop we've gotten around a bit over the years and rubbed some serious shoulders!...

Whilst we're only a tiny provincial workshop we've gotten around a bit over the years and rubbed some serious shoulders! This was at the Edinburgh City Chambers where we refurbished the original furniture used for council meetings and I was subsequently invited by the The Lord Provost, The awesome Right Honorable George Grubb to show Princess Anne the results of our work. Yay!!

I often end up slightly dissatisfied with the results of work I do, could have done this or that better, should have used different materials...etc. But every now and again it comes together. The top drawer is a copy of the one below that lost its partner (big house!) and I think I might be quite pleased with it 😅 Metal work by Toby Petersen.

We are delighted to have been nominated for a Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales' Heritage Angel Awards Wales for our work on Y Gadair Ddu.
