A happy accident 💕

I genuinely didn’t realise I’d done this until I looked back through the videos afterwards 😂

This was Lauren’s bridal bouquet for her and Jamie’s wedding at in the Lake District last week — and honestly, it was such a gorgeous one.

Packed full of roses, dahlias, zinnias, cosmos, scabious and rudbeckia in the prettiest mix of pink, peach and coral tones. Romantic, colourful and a little bit wild — basically everything I love about a summer wedding bouquet (although, I did chop that rogue dangling cosmos before dropping it off with her.)

And apparently… my subconscious thought it needed a tiny heart in there too 💗

If sunshine could be turned into a wedding bouquet… ☀️🌸

Soft pastel pink, buttery yellow, powder blue and little pops of orange, filled with dahlias, roses, phlox, delphinium and scabious.

This colourful wedding bouquet was made for the first wedding of the week, and I love how the soft pastel colours still feel romantic and elegant, while the mix of seasonal flowers gives it that natural, just-picked-from-the-garden feel.

Because colourful wedding flowers don’t have to be loud. You can have plenty of colour while still creating wedding flowers that feel soft, beautiful and romantic

If you’re planning a colourful summer wedding in the Lake District, Cumbria or Lancashire (or beyond), I’d love to hear from you!

I can imagine this post being read as “right, so apparently big floral installations are a bad idea…”

Absolutely not.

We LOVE a big, beautiful installation. The point isn’t to discourage bigger designs or make you think you need to scale back your flowers.

It’s simply about consideration.

The bigger and more immersive the design, the more we need to think about how the space is actually going to be used — where your photographer needs to stand, where your videographer or content creator needs to move, what your guests can see, and how everything works together.

Because the goal isn’t just for the flowers to look incredible.

It’s for the flowers, photographs, people and whole experience to work beautifully together.

That’s the bit you might not see in the finished wedding — but it’s the bit we’re thinking about behind the scenes.
