One thing I’ve noticed over the years in the industry—from selling fires 🔥 to now sweeping them—is that many customers aren’t sure how to use their air controls, or what primary and secondary actually do 🤔 (even I’ve had to refer back to a couple of manuals over the years, when speaking to customers 📖)

Chimney Skills Training has created a simple guide that explains it clearly 👍 Not all stoves are the same, but it’s a great general reference 📖

Perfect to share with customers so they can enjoy their fire now 🔥 and feel confident using it when winter comes around ❄️😉

💡Did you know? The single most effective way to reduce particulate emissions from domestic wood burning is to replace older stoves and open fires with modern Ecodesign compliant stoves.

By supporting and encouraging appliance replacement, policy makers can help improve air quality, strengthen energy security and keep the UK on track to meet climate goals. 🌍🔥

If you own a modern stove, we urge you to consider using locally sourced wood fuel for your appliance 🪵🔥⁣⁣
