I wanted to show you all my cute outfit! But balancing my phone on a neighbours front fence half in a bush turned out to be a bad idea. 😭 Guess I'll be off to the phone repair store tomorrow. 😬📱🔨

But before I smashed my phone screen, I got this new skirt on Vinted (brand is Part Two, fabric is lush😍) and my Matilda top by in Reborn Denim. So glad to have at least one wear of this skirt in this unseasonably warm weather!

Unravel deserves a spot on the grid! It's already been a week, and I'm missing it! unravel… a festival of yarn, both Autumn and Winter are my favourite festivals, and fun fact, the very first one I went to after arriving in the UK! It's a delight to be a vendor now.

Most popular was of course the Reborn Wool, can't beat a sweater yarn for only £6.50/100g! I still have sweater quantities of some colours, particularly the reds if you're looking for an autumn cast on. I'm eyeballing the natural for a classic cabled cardigan myself!

Massive shout out to sylvs_handmade_wardrobe for doing the driving, her surprisingly capacious tiny car and being a yarn seller supreme! Couldn't have done it without you!

We had a decent view of the solar eclipse here in Chelmsford! Over 90% totality. We made a pinhole camera out of a shoebox, but also had good luck with some collanders!

One of the magical things was how it brought people out onto the road. We got to meet some neighbours we hadn't met before, chatted about our previous eclipse experiences and shared our respective viewers.

Gorgeous playground alert! We went to check out the new Biidaasige Park at the Portlands in Toronto. I wish we had something like this near us! A whole trail of play structures in well planted areas. It will be amazing once the trees have matured. The kids loved the owl and the water play area. There's a big picnic area near the racoon and even barbeques for the public to use.

Another show in the bag! It's always a pleasure to spend the day in Chelmsford Cathedral, and a fab way of connecting with locals! Thank you to all my regulars who popped by to say hello, and to new people to stopped for a chat.

I always like having something to work on on the stand, so I cast on a new summer top. This one is the Amoretta Blouse by Bella | Hundred Acre Wool in Reborn Denim Uni. I have to decide soon between the top and the cardigan options. I might have to make both eventually!

Does this count as both a Saturday Share and Yarn for the Make Joy photo challenge?! I hope so! No way I'm catching up fully, but it's nice to have a guide to keep me posting more regularly.

Here all day at Essex County Craft Show at Ingatestone Hall! Costa del Essex, it's hot but there's ice cream and iced coffee and the gazebo is open with a light breeze. Come have a seat and have a go at Stick and Stitch Embroidery.

How cute does my new bag look with my clematis? I started this on my stand at to show off my new raffia yarn from Kremke, Papyrus. It's made of paper, fabulous for homewares and accessories. I used the Cherryade pattern from . I could have done it in one reel, but decided to add a contrast for the trim and handles. The only change I made was to add 10 chains to the handles to make them a bit longer. At less than 100g this would be a fab bag to take on holiday, it squishes easily and is so light!

There's a few colours of Papyrus available, plus two more on their way as we speak!

What would you make with raffia? Have you used it before?

Sitting in the sunshine, wearing recycled denim and knitting with it too! Phone propped up on my teacup, just soaking it in.

I knit this top last year but I don't think it ever made it to the grid. This is the Matilda top by knit in Reborn Denim Uni, all made with recycled denim and PET bottles. I used 3 balls of the pink and 1.5 of the cream. It's so soft and lovely to work with. The blue ist he same yarn, for a new summer accessory design, hopefully it comes together soon!

Hello new things!

I've wanted to make stickers for ages, but felt too insecure about my rusty art skills and procrastinated for years. For Stitch Festival I finally got over it and drew up my first two designs! Introducing Yarn Chicken and Frogging, both drawn by me and printed on durable vinyl for all your sticking needs!

I do plan to keep going, any ideas for more? I definitely need some sheep involved somewhere...
