So... finished this one and I have a question. Having scanned it and prepared it for print, I decided that it would look better with the whole image being brightened. The print is the one with the mount in the image. The original is quite a bit darker and I'm not sure which looks better. What do you think?

After having worked in the art print industry for a while, I know how long it can take to match the colours to the original through the proofing process. Now that I'm proofing my own art I'm rather liking the way that I can change the colours to make them perhaps look more pleasing to the eye, in my opinion of my own art, than the original itself! The printing process is truly an art in itself and I'm loving having the opportunity to play around with it!

Playing with more floral fabric images! I think I could actually plant a seed and watch the flower fully grow in the time it's taken me to produce this😅

❤ Happy Friday ❤ So, what started as a play with floral design in fabric has resulted in a mounted giclee print! I love having my own scanning and printing set up. Within moments of finishing the original I had scanned it, worked on it on the computer to prepare for print, printed it (onto my favourite archival paper, cotton etching 305gsm) and lastly mounted it. All ready to pop into a standard size A4 frame.
I will be creating more fabric floral art and will most definitely be adding the prints, and hopefully other merchandise too, to my Etsy shop.

Now to try this design on some mugs 💕

Happy weekend ❤ Playing with fabric today and loving the texture it gives an image. Last week's images didn't work so well with watercolour and ink lines onto print, so I thought I'd try them in a different medium. Liking the result so far... just hoping it scans and prints how I'm imagining!

🌸 I think Spring has had a positive impact on me this year. I usually lament the end of cold days, cosy evenings with the fire on and wearing my comfy boots and scarves. Perhaps it's seeing my garden blooming into life and observing the emerging blossom on the trees that has made me want to create some floral art 🌸

Playing with ideas in the hope that some of them make it into print in some fashion by the end of the day!

❤ I hope you've all had a lovely weekend (and for those of you, like me, who are on half term I hope that you've had a great start to the break.)

I've had a little time to start getting my Boy Collection images ready for printing onto mugs. These prints are on sublimation paper, ready to place onto mugs to then heat up. The colour looks faded when printing with a sublimation printer but it becomes darker and true to the original paint colour during the heating sublimation process.

Think I've still got a bit of work to do on these in making sure I get the right level of brightness, but that's all part of the fun😊. Can't wait to share the finished mugs when they are ready (hopefully by the end of this week🤞❤).

Hello❤ It's been a while! I hope you're all well and are having a great start to 2025. Is it too late to wish you all a happy new year?

I have finally reopened my Etsy shop🎉 Lots of ideas to add to it and I have started working on a new design which I can't wait to add to my listings. Just takes a bit of time to paint! My resolution this year is to make the time!
I really am excited to get this all up and running again and am loving my new graphics laptop too which is an absolute dream to use.

Hoping to have some new art to share with you soon❤
