A rebrand comes with lots of challenges, but the best bit is obsessing over the details.

Our makers and collaborators have been our inspiration, and we’ll be bringing the colours, textures and craft to life across everything we do

Tequila. Watermelon. Lime. Salt.

Served in our iconic Ishkar carafe & glasses.

Black Lines is our absolute go-to for bottled cocktails, and their summery limited edition watermelon paloma doesn’t disappoint. Created to celebrate the World Cup (the paloma is a Mexican staple), the brand then decided to donate 100% of proceeds to earthquake relief efforts in Venezuela, to honour their Venezuelan colleagues.

That’s the kind of teamwork that we like to support.

We don’t do Black Friday. And we don’t do discounts. Here’s why...🚫

We know discounts are really appealing. But we also know severe cuts in price mean someone, somewhere is losing out.

One of our mantras is ‘if something is too cheap, someone else has paid the price’.

That means a warehouse worker expected to work on a zero-hours contract at robot speed with no breaks.

Or a woman in a sweatshop in a developing nation, paid under a living wage. 💔

But do you want to know who won't be missing out? The people around the boardroom.

Most of our producers are working on a small scale, and a Black Friday style sale would harm both their business models and the social impact they work for.

As the years have gone by, we couldn’t be more pleased that more retailers have come around to our way of thinking.

So we encourage you to relish in making calm purchases not driven by salesmania this Black Friday.

W-w-w-walnut. An often overlooked ingredient in the cooking oil pantheon, but one that brings a whole load of taste and difference for minimal effort.

And we’ve found a particularly brilliant walnut oil to stock at Different Kind.

It's rich, fragrant, and made by .

Food and Forest combine traditional farming methods with the latest in agricultural science to help farmers make the most of their land without damaging soil health or wildlife.

Growing productive trees alongside crops such as corn and wheat helps with soil erosion, getting rainwater to pe*****te fields and provides a bio diverse habitat for insects, birds and animals.

We love using this walnut oil in a salad of chicory, apple and shavings of parmesan. Yum.

Cosy season calls for steaming cups of hot chocolate. But not just any kind, the kind.

Chocolarder’s drinking chocolate is made from a mix of cocoa powder, grated chocolate and raw cane sugar. That’s it.

But the taste is rich and sweet and multi-layered.

Made from a mix of Ghanian and Indonesian beans (both from plantations that support local communities), this is the best kind of small batch chocolate - but in a drinkable form, not a bar.
