I recently poured 8 cm of resin in a controlled environment, despite the recommended limit of 6 mm. To my surprise, the piece came out clean! But does this mean the limit doesn’t matter? 🤔

Quick disclaimer: This was a deliberate crash test, not a recommendation. For deep pours, always use Craft Resin Deep Pour for optimal results.

I mixed Craft Resin at a 1:1 ratio (300 ml total) and poured it into a mold at 8 cm deep, maintaining a room temperature of 21°C. After 24 hours, I was thrilled to find a clean cure with no cracks or yellowing! 🎉

The takeaway? While guidelines are important, they don’t tell the whole story. Volume, depth, and temperature all play a role. A smaller volume in a cooler room can handle heat better during curing.
