Last week amongst all the madness going on in flower shop we had been approached by the Rural florist in Cupar who had a very specific request for a tartan ribbon for a funeral, we had first of all an issue sourcing the required ribbon as the main importer would not sell to us as we were not spending a minimum of £2k on ribbon with them even though we are a vat registered business and long standing, so next we had to source through one of their distributors who then forgot to send out the ribbon having complained to them about this and explained the circumstances for its use they then posted overnight as soon as we received it we had the ribbon made, boxed and on its way to Cupar some 60 miles away that afternoon.
We did not want to let a fellow florist down so I delivered to her within 2 hours job done! very happy florist who was able to look after a customer when they needed it.
Obviously depending on logistics this would not always be possible but we wanted to show we really do understand what a florist goes through for their customers and as busy florists ourselves we will always go that extra mile for our customers.
