This is what happens when you let that friend of a friend, very reasonably priced painter do it for cheap, or when the DIY enthusiast with no clue has a go. Peeling paint is a result of gloss on top of gloss, or cheap water based paint, on top of oil based gloss, without the correct preparation. As for painting over those drips, lumps and bumps. Stop it 🫣

I have been working on this house all week. Doesn't look like I have achieved much, but all the Lyme render has been primed, (its clear) 4 windows have been prepped and two coats, and a first masonry paint on the back wall. Lots to do, making good after the first coat, then two more coats of masonry paint. Will be busy next week.

Well my new tower, does get me where I want to get to, but it is also a bit wobbly & slightly terrifying 😨

Started work on this exterior, this week. All the lyme render needs painting and some windows. If you have Lyme rendering, its very important that you use the correct materials, and a tradesman that understands lyme render. Just prep & primer at the moment.
