If you Whaley want to know what Mud Club is all about, come and have a Moby at what's going on 😆🐋

You're welcome to pop in between 7:45pm and 8:45pm tonight for a brew, a bicky, and a natter. Have a look at some workshop pieces, meet the Mud Clubbers, and see what everyone's been creating.

Whether you're curious about pottery, fancy trying something new, or just want to see what all the muddy fuss is about, you'd be very welcome 🤗

"Oooooooo", she says, "Is it Monday Mud Club tonight?"

Yes, yes it is 😀

A time when you can come and play with clay any way you like! No set workshop, just 2 hours of exploring your own ideas with the guidance, tea, and biscuits provided by yours truly.

This current 6 week block is fully booked, however, due to illness there are a couple of spaces this evening, so if you'd like to pop down and see what it's all about and maybe get your hands a little muddy in preparation for our Autumn intake, then you are more than welcome 🤗

Just let me know below if you're thinking of coming along xx

Hello there Mud Clubbers! 👋

I know, I know, it's been a while and there are lots of updates to share, but before I bombard you with those, let's celebrate something together 😊

Today I ran a lovely afternoon workshop with four returning Mud Clubbers. Thank you so much!

Helen and her dad returned for their third workshop, Jo was back for her second, and Fay joined us for her fourth 🤯🎉

When I started Mud Club, I never imagined people would come back again and again, yet so many of you do. Whether you've attended a workshop, joined us for multiple sessions, or are one of our wonderful evening Mud Club regulars, please know how much I appreciate every single one of you.

The past few weeks have been a little challenging behind the scenes. I've been juggling health, workshops, family life, and trying to push towards a Summer Solstice launch of the Fika range. I have to admit, I felt a bit deflated when I realised that deadline just wasn't going to happen.

But I've put my sensible head on, listened to my body, and decided to move the launch to autumn instead. And actually, I think the range will suit cosy autumn days beautifully. I hope you'll stick around for it, I promise it'll be worth the wait 🍂🤎

Anyway, I digress...

What I'm really trying to say is that I'm still here, still getting wonderfully muddy, still teaching, still making, and still feeling incredibly grateful for this lovely community we've built together.

Keep an eye out for a photo dump from the past three weeks because there has been plenty of clay, creativity, laughter, and muddy goodness going on behind the scenes 😄

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend, and I'll see you here tomorrow xx

FINALLY… Friday breakfast in my very own Fika bowl ☀️🥣

And as an added bonus, the sun is actually shining so I got to sit in the garden for five whole minutes pretending I’m the sort of person who has a calm, peaceful morning routine 😅

There are definitely still tweaks to make, I think I want them slightly wider, and now I’m convinced they need handmade ceramic spoons to go with them too 🤔

But honestly, on the whole, I love it 🩷

There’s something really lovely about slowing down for a minute and eating from a handmade piece that didn’t exist a few weeks ago except as a lump of clay on the table.

Tiny everyday rituals making a big difference 🙂

Happy Friday everyone, what's your plan for the long weekend? Xx

“Resting” this weekend apparently means getting up at the crack of dawn for children’s football while clutching a dangerously strong coffee ☕️🫣

But before the chaos begins properly, last night’s candle holder workshop was the perfect start to the weekend 🤎

For a couple of hours, everyone just slowed down.

No rushing. No pressure. No endless life admin. Just clay-covered hands, good chats and making something cosy.

And the funny thing is, I think pottery workshops end up being just as therapeutic for me as they are for everyone who comes along ✨

Although this weekend’s version of “rest” also includes:

⚽ Football
🥂 A hen do for one of my gorgeous friend
⚽ More football
🖌️ Glazing
☕️ Increasingly aggressive levels of caffeine

How are you “resting” this weekend, Mud Clubbers?

I panicked! 🫣

When you can’t wait for your own bowls to come out of the kiln, so you start panic-testing portion sizes in a dinky bowl you already own 😅

This morning, while making my usual oats (the amount I’d normally chuck into a standard cereal bowl) I was stood in the kitchen holding this tiny bowl next to the pan thinking:

“Ah sh*t… I’ve massively messed up here. There is absolutely NO way this is fitting in the bowls I’ve made. Do I have time to remake them? Absolutely not 🫣”

But then, miracle of miracles, as I dolloped the oats in from the pan…

IT ALL FIT 🙌🏼

Not only did it fit, it was actually the perfect size. Even with room for toppings 🎉

Unfortunately, while I was busy celebrating my accidental bowl success, I also managed to burn the granola 🤦🏼‍♀️

You win some, you lose some.

Oats are life 🤎

Happy Friday everyone xx

Good morning Mud Clubbers!

Last night, Monday Mud Club officially kicked off ✨

It featured:

☕ a tripod mug glazing session

🧚 magical fairy door

🎄 and a Christmas tree tea light holder because apparently we’re emotionally preparing for the bonkers season in MAY (it's never too early) 😀

It was a lovely calm evening which is why I love Mud Club. Everyone arrives slightly frazzled from real life and leaves relaxed.

Shout if you fancy a couple of cosy hours with clay on a Monday evening 🤎 We've got one space left.

Have a great Tuesday xx
