Seven Swans A-Swimming... Nine Years A-Gone! 🦢💨

I saw this memory pop up on my feed and it made me pause! Nine years ago, I was working on these majestic Seven Swans a Swimming as part of a 12 Days of Christmas installation at Mottisfont Abbey. they actually floated them in a stream 💛🦢🦢🦢🦢🦢🦢🦢

It was a fun project, but seriously, where did the time go? It just flew by! 😆

🎄Throwback Crafting! Work In Progress WEDNESDAY! ♻️

Happy Wednesday, everyone! 👋

My brain has been in work mode all week, so actual crafting for Work In Progress Wednesday is on pause for now! But that doesn't mean we can't look back for inspiration.

My Google memories gifted me this wonderful throwback today, these adorable Christmas Elves I made 5 years ago for a festive trail! 🎅
These dolls are a brilliant example of a "Work In Progress" that uses sustainable supplies. They were created using recycled pop bottles (weighted down for stability with gravel!), and I absolutely loved finding ways to make their details:

• Their cute boots and little socks.
• Their great textured hair.

It proves that great crafts can come from almost nothing, recycling existing materials! It was definitely a labour of love 💕 🧝‍♂️🧝‍♀️🧝🎄

Powered through a proper pants day, I was feeling totally overwhelmed tbh. But now it's just me and my tiny village. Focusing on something simple like adding these tiny snowflakes is my reset. Nothing a few small flakes can't fix, right?

A very special "Welcome Home" Christmas wreath for my daughter's new home! She moves in just in time for Christmas, and the blue velvet ribbon was her only request. I hope it brings a smile to her face every time she opens her new front door. 🏡💙

Village is open for business! 🏘️ My Finshed Friday project is complete! I'm in love with this tiny Christmas Village I made using just wood offcuts and some LEDs. It's simple, cosy, and perfectly festive. Happy Friday, everyone!
