So that was May….

Finally managed to get some of the elusive work-life balance in May, enjoying the bank holiday weekends as well as a couple of days off.

1, 2 & 3 - A Sunday reset at The Pig in the Cotswolds

4 - Sauna install

5 - A friend’s 50th birthday celebrations

6 - New project measure for joinery

7, 8 & 9 - a stormtrooper greets us for the Children with Cancer charity donor weekend. Ricky Wilson on stage. A private tour of Syon House.

10 & 11 - Primary bathroom scheme for a new build project

12 & 13 - Treehouse project - no ordinary treehouse as this one will have a bar/kitchen, mezzanine sleeping area and a WC plus wonderful countryside views.

14 Keira at a new project.

15 Tile pattern for a boy’s bathroom

16 Garden disaster - lots of Buxus hedge in my garden including a parterre and the Box caterpillar has taken over 🤦‍♀️

17 A Bedroom design for one of our new build projects, and the headboard should be underway soon.

“STUNNING”

That was what our client said when we showed her the design for the primary bathroom in her new home. 😊

Sharing with you a couple of the rendered elevations of that bathroom which looks out into the treetops due to the elevated position this home enjoys on its plot.

We’ve used nature as the inspiration with a beautiful wallpaper to give that arboreal feel and surrounded the bath with a pebble inspired tile to add a textural element.

A belated Happy New Year!

Things have been busy for the first few weeks of 2026 with a lot happening on existing new build projects and some interesting new opportunities to consider.

Today is Blue Monday, apparently the most depressing Monday of the year! I’m hoping the only blue thing in mine are these rooms from previous projects. It’s a colour that clients seem to love. 💙

We often get asked what our studio style is and the truth is we don’t have one. We focus on creating an individual home that suits our client’s lifestyle, the architecture of the building, and using materials of the highest quality.

For us design isn’t just a business, it’s a passion, so working on such a diverse range of projects is truly exciting.

In this project we designed a one of a kind kitchen with a gorgeous curved island in a bespoke metallic finish and a comfy booth for casual dining. Gorgeous slabs of Calacatta Oro added to the luxe materials and we added a hidden pantry for plenty of additional storage as well as a hidden second kitchen for the mess when entertaining.

Good looking and hard working - that’s always our aim with joinery and in this boy’s bedroom we’ve definitely hit the mark.

This custom joinery provided plenty of clothes storage from hanging and shelves to drawers. There is also a place to focus on homework and an area to display collected treasures and mementos.

The beautiful joinery is adorned with smart hardware from Armac Martin, and we added a custom desk chair with a seat back in a lovely James Hare fabric called Berkeley Square.

Another busy week in the studio, making progress on several projects and dealing with new enquiries. So much of what we are currently working on is at building stage so not the prettiest of pictures for the grid, so here is an unseen photo from our recent winning project - one of the boy’s bedrooms.

The challenge with children’s rooms is to ensure the space can take them from younger years through their teens and we think this scheme ticks the box. More importantly our younger client was delighted with his room!

A beautiful hallway moment in Project LHF featuring artwork from the super talented

We are in the midst of a lot of construction with our current projects so it’s great to remember that the end is in sight and more lovely spaces will soon be finished!

Off to site later to check progress so I’ll try to remember to take some photos for stories and also introduce you to our newest team member Keira. Have a great day!

Still high from winning at the International Design & Architecture Awards last Friday night and as promised I’m sharing some more photos from that winning project.

Here is the new dining area off the kitchen with a fabulous custom table and chairs with a wonderful fabric on the rear.

Since it’s Friday I think my favourite part of this room is the hidden bar we added to the centre of the cabinetry (2nd photo) - perfect for a cheeky cocktail to celebrate the end of the week.

This room used to be the TV area off the kitchen and the joinery housed the TV but I think I prefer it’s current contents!🍸🍹🍾
