Due to the weather Mossburn has cancelled tomorrows Craft and Produce Fair.

My next event will be 21st November at Closeburn Hall and then my first time in Castle Douglas Farmers Market on Sunday 22nd November.

My Christmas order book is now open too for anyone looking for anything special 😍😍

β—οΈπŸ™ We have made the tough decision to cancel tomorrow's Craft & Produce Fair due to the increasingly bad weather forecast.

This is really hard for us as it is usually a much needed fundraiser and our staff and volunteers put such a lot of effort into organising this. We are a very small team and we can't reschedule unfortunately πŸ˜”

We're very sorry to all of the wonderful stallholders who were looking forward to the event and to anyone who may have visited us.

Find me here on Sunday, with lots of other talented local crafters and artists 😍

*UKCA Testing! Long Post sorry 🫣!*

It's almost that time of year when lots of craft fairs and community sales pop up in the run up to Christmas, so its a great time for a reminder to everyone why the UKCA mark is important.

Every toy sold in the UK is required to be safety tested as per The Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011, including crochet, knitted, sewn, wooden and 3d printed. If it looks like a toy, has 'play value' and is sold to under 14s, its a toy for the purposes of the law.

Unfortunately so many crafter and organisers are unaware of the law, or choose to ignore the guidelines. Which is ridiculous because it can result in a hefty fine from Trading Standards and stock being seized, as well as putting children risk!

Labelling obvious toys as 'display only' and trying to find other 'loopholes' around the law is selfish and frankly irresponsible. If you're at the stage of selling your items you should know all the regulations and laws for your products.

So if you're buying toys for your children this year make sure you check for the UKCA label before you buy and ask the seller about their paperwork and processes. If they're anything like me they'll be happy to talk your ear off about all the hard work they do to make sure their toys are safe. 😍

Having a busy (and boring ) morning of pricing up my makes for the upcoming markets in October.

My least favourite part of running my small business and I always leave it until theres a big pile to do...will I ever learn?! πŸ«£πŸ˜…

Loving the new colours I've tried for Fatma Avcı amazing Dragon hatchlings, I sold out completely of them at my last market in Langholm 😍 The white is actually a glitter yarn, the photos don't do it justice!
