For all our new followers, I thought I’d take the time to reintroduce myself… 💕

This is me — Lou 🌺

I am a mum to two boys 💙💙 and last week my partner and I celebrated 22 years together 🥹💕 — Yikes!

I studied Art, specialising in Illustration and Printmaking at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, but somehow ended up working in various office jobs… and even became a police officer 👮😳 for a short time! But no matter what I did, I never felt like I’d found something I could do “forever.” I was always restless and forever doodling on notepads 😂🫣

Then Covid hit, and while working in an accounts office, I decided I wanted faux hanging baskets for my front door. I couldn’t find what I was looking for anywhere… so I made my own!

And just like that, Basketcase was born 🌿✨

What started completely out of nowhere has now grown into creating faux hanging baskets, wreaths, vases, bespoke commercial displays, and of course… my favourite time of year — CHRISTMAS….from garlands to door displays, we love everything that twinkles and sparkles at this time of year!😍🎄

We’ve now been going for almost 6 years, and it’s been such an exciting journey watching Basketcase grow from a little idea into a business I’m truly passionate about 💕 Like any small business, there have been lots of lessons along the way, but getting to be creative every day and seeing how much our customers love what we create makes it all so worthwhile 🌿✨

Over the years we’ve built up an amazing client base across the UK, with so many loyal returning customers, and that honestly means the world to me.

We’re based in Monikie, but can travel and deliver to most places 🚚🌸

We specialise in bespoke custom orders, working closely with clients and businesses to create designs perfectly suited to their spaces — from small hanging baskets to full commercial front displays.
