Here at Doodle & Splat, we are committed to bringing creative fun to everyone, no matter their age or ability. As the original Arts & Crafts class provider in Fife since 2008 we have the skills and knowledge to deliver quality classes focused on art, craft & sensory play to all ages. We are now pleased to provide classes and events across the whole of Fife and Kinross and have expanded the classes

we offer to ensure that there is something for everyone. There is a wide variety of classes and events available which are aimed to accommodate all requirements, whether it’s a one-off class, something a little more regular, or for those bigger moments in your life.

We’re out and about today, bringing creativity on the road! 🎨✨

You can find the Doodle & Splat team at both the Dunfermline Bruce Festival and the Scone Palace Garden Fair, where we’ll have children’s activities and a selection of our popular take-home craft kits available too.

If you’re heading along to either event, make sure to pop by and say hello. We’d love to see you! 💛

After learning all about abstract and figurative art during our first Brownie session, it was time to bring everything to life with a creative trip to visit the incredible Kelpies in Falkirk!

The girls explored the fascinating Scottish folklore of the kelpies while seeing the enormous sculptures up close before taking time to sketch and draw their own interpretations of them 🎨

We created and designed all of the learning packs and folklore resources ourselves, combining creativity, storytelling, observation, and Scottish history into one experience. Seeing the girls connect the myths, the sculptures, and the different artistic styles they had learned about the week before was absolutely fantastic 💛

Such a lovely group of creative minds and such a special experience to be part of!

What an amazing opportunity it’s been working with the Brownies to help them achieve their badges through creativity, discussion, and hands-on learning!

Our first session focused on understanding two artistic terms they’ll no doubt hear throughout life and education — abstract art and figurative art. Together we explored what the words mean, how art can look completely different depending on the artist’s style, and how there’s no single “right” way to create 🎨

The girls had such brilliant ideas and observations, and watching those little confidence-building moments happen as they began recognising and understanding the differences was honestly priceless 💛

We designed the full session and activity packs ourselves to make the learning creative, engaging, and accessible while still encouraging the girls to think like artists.

This week Kinross Art Club looked a little different… thanks to our usual venue becoming a voting booth, we packed up the creativity and headed outdoors 🎨🌿

And honestly? When life gives you lemons… turn the park into an art studio 🍋✏️

The weather just about held for us, although the mayflies and midgies decided to create their own mysterious fog effect around the tables 😂 Safe to say the umbrella ended up being useful in a way we definitely didn’t expect!

This week we stepped into the world of Eduardo Chillida, exploring negative space, high contrast imagery, and how understanding shape can strengthen drawing skills and creative thinking. Using charcoal as our medium added another layer of challenge and experimentation, encouraging bold marks, contrast and expressive drawing techniques.

The students were absolutely brilliant adapting to a completely different environment and produced such thoughtful, creative work. Super proud of every single one of them for just getting stuck in and embracing the chaos, bugs and all 🎨❤️

It’s been a little while since we’ve hosted one of our messy play sessions… and after some very gentle (and very appreciated!) nudging from our lovely customers, we’re bringing it back—with a cosmic twist ☄️🚀

We are so excited to announce our Messy Splatter: Space Edition landing this May! 🌌

Think glowing galaxies, out-of-this-world textures, and a sensory experience that’s bursting with colour, creativity and a little bit of magic. I’ve had so much fun putting this one together and honestly… I cannot wait to see it come to life.

We’ve listened (as always!) and created three session options to suit everyone:
🌟 A weekend session - Sunday 10th 1030 - 1115
🌟 A weekday morning - Friday 22nd 1030 - 1115
🌟 A weekday afternoon - Thursday 14th 130 - 215

⚠️Important to note:
Due to the materials used to create those amazing glow effects, this session is non taste-safe as we’ll be using paint-based products.

This makes it perfect for little ones who are confidently past the “everything goes in the mouth” stage and ready to fully explore, play, and create ⭐️

Spaces will be limited for each session, so keep an eye out for booking details coming soon…

What a beautifully creative wee day we’ve had today… and there’s still more to come on that! 🎨

One of the absolute highlights was helping a cat-loving little girl celebrate her birthday in style 🎁🎈

We stepped right into the world of Gabby’s Dollhouse, where everyone had fun creating their own characters to pop into their personalised take-home Meow Meow box 🐾

They absolutely did not disappoint!

For us, it’s always about the joy of the process over perfection, encouraging children to explore, create, and have fun no matter what they make. And judging by the smiles, I’d say that mission was accomplished 🥳

Yesterday’s art camp was an absolute beaut 🌿

Inspired by the magical jungle paintings of Henri Rousseau, our young artists created mini versions of themselves from toilet rolls before building incredible 3D jungle worlds for them to step into.

The creativity in the room was amazing. From wild animals and giant leaves to secret hideaways and wonderfully imaginative stories, every jungle had its own little adventure 🌴🦜

We absolutely loved seeing the pride on their faces and hearing the stories behind each creation. Some of the ideas were so elaborate and thoughtful, and it’s such a joy watching their confidence and creativity grow throughout the workshop 💚

First day of our Easter Art Camps and what a brilliant one it was! 🌻🎨

Today our primary-aged artists took inspiration from Vincent van Gogh and created their own beautiful masterpieces using mosaics, 3D art to create the most gorgeous sunflower creations.

Out of all the materials on offer, the cake cases stole the show for our sunflowers… and honestly, who can blame them? They were just beautiful 💛

A day full of fun, laughter and creativity from start to finish. We can’t wait for tomorrow 🖌️

Well that’s a wrap on our Enchanted Easter celebrations at Scone Palace! 🐰✨

What a proper Scottish weather day we had… blue skies, sunshine, rain, hail and some seriously dramatic gusts of wind 🌤️🌧️🌬️

But the magic still shone through, with our wands floating their way around the bunny trail and weaving through the maze 🪄🐇

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and celebrated with us. We absolutely loved seeing all the smiles, excitement and Easter magic throughout the day 💛
