PINK SHOWER ROOM - PROGRESS SHOTS
My daughter’s brief to me for this bathroom was that she wanted it to feel like a pink iced doughnut - with style - but strictly no pattern, no murals, just simplicity.
There’s still a way to go, but I think we’re getting there.
It’s the mirror image of the green shower room, so has the beautiful curved shower again, which I’m in love with!
But it also has all the same awkwardness as the green one - so very little full height head space with the deep sloping roof.
The second to last shot is simply a beautiful pear that I loved the colour of with the tray.
The last shot was last night when I was walking through the woodland back to the barn - it’s the view into my bedroom. But for a few moments I couldn’t understand what I was seeing.
I literally thought, oh there are people in the basement rooms below me! Even though I know perfectly well this barn only has one floor.
And then I realized this was the reflection of my room in the floodwater in front of it! It just looked magical.
My daughter really wants me to paint the wood beams, but the last time I did that in the farmhouse it was super controversial!
So the question is - do I paint them or not (with breathable paint?
