Still in awe, still inspired, still overwhelmed by Lee Miller; her eye, her framing, her lighting, her training, her tenacity, her bravery, her legacy.
3 hours studying photographs I’ve seen many times, (and many never seen before) and I’m still seeing things for the first time.
Just one week left to catch the Lee Miller Retrospective at Tate Britain. And be warned, it’s still super popular!!

Just found some old Uni work stashed in a corner. Back when it was fun to do a fashion shoot on Polaroid and wet transfer the image to cartridge paper. A precarious process! I think I even got my first job on a fashion magazine with these!!

I finally got round to wearing the dress! 🖤💙🌹💛
I’d originally made it for a wedding in the summer and had decided not to wear it as it wasn’t quite the right vibe in the end.
It’s made of a gorgeous light cotton lawn and It turned out to be perfect for the autumn occasion. But now I need to make another dress in a warmer fabric!! It’s such a comfortable and elegant style to wear. Love it!!

Visited the fantastic Costume Couture exhibition at the Fashion & Textile Museum this week - 60 years of costume and the legacy of John Bright. These costumes make up the backbone of some of the best films and TV series to come out of Britain and you can almost imagine the actors still wearing them. The best thing is you’re allowed to take photographs and stay in there as long as you like. Some of the details were stunning - I was in heaven!! Runs until 8th March 2026 and it’s a must if you love costumes and beautiful dresses!! p.s. don’t miss costume-inspired hats in the gift shop!! 🎀
