A previously unseen primary bedroom in the Scottish Borders 🤍

Our brief was to create a feminine and elegant bedroom while retaining some of our client’s much-loved existing furniture.

We introduced a beautiful GP & J Baker wallpaper, alongside a bespoke upholstered headboard and carefully considered furnishings to bring the scheme together.

Rather than starting again, we worked with pieces that already had a place in the client’s home — creating a bedroom that feels personal, considered and as though it has naturally evolved over time.

A lovely reminder that a beautiful interior doesn’t always mean replacing everything.

Not every hallway needs to be just a hallway. ✨

Long corridors can often feel flat, underused and lacking the storage that modern living demands. At this beautiful apartment in Donaldson's, we transformed what was simply a walkway into a feature in its own right.

By introducing bespoke joinery, we maximised storage without compromising on elegance. The result is a space that feels purposeful, beautifully styled and seamlessly integrated into the architecture.

Sometimes the biggest transformation is not about adding more space. It is about making the space you already have work more effectively.

Practical design. Timeless craftsmanship. Beautiful living.

A reading corner reimagined ✨

Sometimes it's the smallest corners that make the biggest difference.

What was once an overlooked corner in this Edinburgh New Town home has been transformed into a cosy retreat that invites you to slow down, curl up with a book and enjoy a quiet moment.

Working with the home's beautiful Victorian character, we introduced a richly coloured floral wallpaper to create depth, warmth and personality while celebrating the property's original architecture.

A beautifully upholstered armchair, layered with botanical fabrics, a softly textured side table and fresh flowers complete the scheme, creating a timeless reading corner that feels both elegant and welcoming.

It's a reminder that thoughtful interior design is not just about filling a room. It is about creating places you genuinely want to spend time in.

The first photo is not the surprise, the last one is.✨

When this master en suite was featured in Homes & Interiors Scotland in November/December 2024, you only caught a small glimpse of the finished space.

What you did not see was where it began.

Our clients wanted more than a beautiful bathroom; they wanted a luxurious retreat that felt calm, timeless and indulgent. Every element was carefully considered, from the natural stone and bespoke floating vanity to the beautifully crafted brassware.

Seeing the before reminds us that exceptional interiors are never about finishes alone. They are about vision, thoughtful planning and meticulous attention to every detail.

Throwback Project | Victorian Arts & Crafts Townhouse, Edinburgh ✨

There is something incredibly rewarding about breathing new life into a beautiful period home while celebrating everything that makes it special.

When we first visited the drawing room in this Arts & Crafts Victorian townhouse in Edinburgh, the original architectural features were all there: timber panelling, intricate cornicing, elegant bay windows with original shutters and a carved fireplace. However, years of bold yellow paint had left the room feeling dark and heavy, masking its natural beauty.

Our approach was to let the architecture take centre stage.

We retained the original panelling, shutters and fireplace, allowing these period features to become the focal point of the room. A lighter palette enhances natural light throughout, while the decision to avoid window treatments ensures the shutters remain a key architectural feature.

Contemporary furniture, layered textures and bold geometric patterns introduce a fresh, modern elegance, creating a space that feels timeless rather than overly traditional.

It is a wonderful example of our philosophy for period properties: respecting a home’s heritage while creating interiors designed for modern living that are comfortable, practical and effortlessly liveable.
