One of the things I’ve really loved about getting to know Annie from Annie’s ArtFx is discovering just how connected her work is to the natural world around her.

As a traditional woodturner, woodworker, and resin artist, Annie creates beautiful handmade pieces inspired by nature, using unusual and often overlooked pieces of wood that might otherwise be discarded. Her stall is always full of character, from crystal-tipped wands and hand-carved runes to resin artwork, mushroom jewellery, and larger statement pieces.

What made chatting with Annie even more special was finding out that she’s also a fellow forager. It was honestly so much fun talking about nature, the things we discover outdoors, and how those finds can inspire creativity and craft. You can really see that connection to the natural world running through everything she makes.

There’s such an earthy, thoughtful feel to Annie’s work, and we’re so excited to have Annie’s ArtFx joining us again for the June market ✨

Annie is a traditional woodturner, woodworker, and resin artist whose work is heavily inspired by nature.

Over time, she has moved towards using pieces of wood that might otherwise be discarded, combining them with resin and natural details to create art and bespoke gifts. Her work includes wooden and resin pieces, crystal-tipped wands, hand-carved runes, mushroom jewellery, and larger nature-inspired artwork.

What stands out is Annie’s love of reducing waste and making use of the unusual, gnarly, and overlooked pieces of wood.

Her stall is full of handmade character and natural inspiration.

On the 31st of may,I will be back down in Boscombe for one of my favourite market days ever. It's such an Amazing crowd and it's held in the most stunning royal arcade. Ear-wings🦋

After spending the last couple of years trying to create the ultimate piece of recreated amber I can.
Complete with everything you'd ever hope to find in a real piece of amber.

I've ended up learning and becoming abit if an entomologist. Meaning I now get responsibility sourced butterflies bugs and other awesome insects drunk at the weekend. So the are relaxed enough to work with.

Rather than getting drunk myself 😂
But anyway, after the first batch I made , literally flew off my market stall, I thought I'd make a few more sets. And up my game whilst doing so.
To create these double winged earrings as well as single winged drops 🙂
I have made all these on sterling silver findings. But I have also made some with hypothetical findings. As well as always having a selection of findings on me at markets.
That I can easily swap over if preferred.
