Such a special post 🩵🌊

There is something deeply special about the pieces that find their way to us, especially when they arrive through moments of synchronicity.

At a recent Mind, Body and Spirit Fayre hosted by Angelic Whispers 26, I was fortunate to win a beautiful framed shell artwork in the raffle. The artwork was created by Sandbarshellart and generously donated to the event, which raised funds for Rowans Hospice. From the moment I saw, it felt completely aligned with me.

Shells have always held a gentle, grounding presence for me. As a water sign, I have always felt a strong connection to the sea and find its rhythm deeply relaxing. Shaped by the tides, shells carry that same sense of flow, calm, and quiet resilience, and this piece reflects that perfectly — simple, natural, and full of soothing energy.

It has now taken its place among our existing shell collection, where it feels truly at home. Together, they create a subtle connection to the ocean — a calming, supportive energy that complements the work we do here, holding space for rest, balance, and healing.

I absolutely love it, and it feels even more meaningful knowing it was created with care and intention. It is always a joy to welcome pieces like this into the space.

A heartfelt thank you to Sandbarshellart, and to Angelic Whispers 26 for such a lovely and aligned event supporting Rowans Hospice.

What an absolute delight it has been teaching the whole of KS2 over the last two days! ā¤ļø

No mean feat in the middle of a heatwave, but every single child rose to the challenge beautifully. They learnt a brand-new decoupage technique, listened so carefully, worked incredibly hard and created something truly gorgeous to help raise money for the school.

I couldn’t be prouder of what they have achieved. The creativity, concentration and enthusiasm on display have been wonderful to see, and it has been such a privilege to spend time with every year group.

All of the shells the children have decorated will be available to purchase at the school Summer Fair this Saturday from 11am–2pm. Every shell is completely unique and made with so much care and imagination.

I’ll be there on the day, ready to greet the children and happily sing their praises to anyone who’ll listen! 😊

Now let’s just hope the weather has cooled down a little by then! ā˜€ļøšŸ„µ

What an amazing day yesterday at Emsworth Loves Local Market! šŸ’›

Despite a drizzly start, the square soon came alive with people, and we welcomed so many lovely visitors to our wonderful market. There was such a fantastic atmosphere all day long, with the farmers’ market buzzing and so many people out supporting local businesses.

I absolutely loved chatting all things shells and workshops, and watching people carefully choose which picture should go home with them. Every purchase seemed to have a story behind it — a mum treating her daughter, a thoughtful Father’s Day gift, a present for a friend being visited next week, a little treat for themselves, and one bought simply to make a wife smile. Those moments are so special to witness and are one of the reasons I love what I do.

Thank you to every single person who stopped to chat, browse, buy, share kind words, or support us in any way. It truly means the world to small businesses like mine.

And thank you to my family - you all make every market pure joy. It was so lovely to welcome new faces yesterday ā¤ļø

See you at the next one! 🐚✨

Tomorrow you’ll find me at Emsworth Loves Local Market from 9am–3pm, and it promises to be a fantastic one!

The sun is set to shine, the Farmers’ Market will be buzzing, and we’re welcoming some wonderful new traders.

I’m especially excited that the incredibly talented Bethan Diver will be there too — another creative soul from the teaching profession whose work is absolutely beautiful. Even better, she’s one of the loveliest people you could hope to meet, so do come and say hello to us both!

I’ll be showcasing my brand new scallop collection alongside lots of my shell and sea glass artwork, decoupage shells, gifts and coastal creations.

Whether you’re popping by for a browse, a chat, or to pick up something special, I’d love to see you.

See you tomorrow! ā˜€ļøšŸš

Nestled in the shadow of beautiful Portchester Castle, this gorgeous pub is home to a charming private space called The Nest — the perfect setting for a relaxed and creative evening.

During the evening you’ll create and decorate three beautiful shells to take home, using the wonderfully relaxing art of decoupage. No experience is needed at all — just come along, have fun, and enjoy a creative evening in lovely company.

As always, 50% of every ticket sold goes to The Final Straw Foundation, helping to support their fantastic work protecting our oceans and coastlines.

I can’t wait to see you there! 🐚✨

✨ Pinch Me Moment! ✨

What a wonderful evening at the beautiful Inn on the Beach for tonight’s decoupage workshop.

Such a lovely group of people, and the results were absolutely superb. One of the things I love most about these workshops is that no two creations are ever the same. Give everyone the same materials, and they still produce something completely unique and personal.

The atmosphere was warm, friendly and supportive, with plenty of laughter and conversation throughout the evening. And the location? It simply can’t be beaten. The view across the sea was breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for a creative evening.

A huge thank you to the team at Inn on the Beach for looking after us so well and helping to make the evening such a success.

If you’d like to join a future workshop while supporting the Final Straw Foundation, my next decoupage workshop will be at The Cormorant on 19th July. I’d love to see you there! šŸššŸ’™
