Well… I think summer has officially left the building! 😂🍂

After last night’s thunderstorm and waking up today to a very different looking day, I’ve decided I’m ready to invite Autumn in. 🤎

I’ve been clinging onto summer for as long as possible, but there’s something rather lovely about that first hint of a new season… cosy evenings, cooler mornings and the house smelling warm and gorgeous again.

🐾 IT’S INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY TODAY 🐾

I couldn’t let International Dog Day pass without a post about our beautiful girl, Bonnie.

She is, it has to be said, quite needy. 😂
Not for anything over demanding… just strokes, cuddles, attention, more strokes, more cuddles and preferably your undivided attention at all times.

But the best thing about Bonnie’s neediness is that we get every bit of that love back tenfold. ❤️

She is completely my shadow…. where I go, Bonnie goes. Room to room, upstairs, downstairs… apparently I cannot be trusted to go anywhere in the house unsupervised. 😂

She’s also the absolute mistress of the side-eye 👀 when she thinks something is happening that she should been included in.

Then there’s her favourite people…yes, she has favourites 🥰
When they come to visit, she gets so excited, spins round in circles and runs off to fetch her teddy to give to them. If you’ve had this happen to you then you are one of the chosen! Honestly, it melts me every time. 🧸

Of course, there is another side to Bonnie…

The poor, neglected, apparently STARVING Golden Retriever who appears whenever we sit down to eat. 😂
That’s when those big sad puppy-dog eyes come out…

“Nobody has ever fed me. Not once. Look how thin I am. Surely you can spare just one tiny bit…” 👀

🦮 She’s needy.
🦮She’s nosy.
🦮She’s permanently attached to my side.
🦮She can guilt-trip you with one look.

But we absolutely adore her. 🥰
