I would love for people who have a passion for crafting and/or knitting get the opportunity to purchase pre-loved items. Jan, my late mum, collected a plethora of items over the years, and I hope that people can purchase them and use and love them as much as she did.
She created an abundance of cards for all occasions, friends, family and sold a few too. She held a knitting catch up, coffee and learn in her conservatory and loved both card making and knitting whether it was by machine or by hand, she always had something on the go.
Please check out the website where some of the items have been uploaded, mainly wool to date, but slowly it will be a catalogue of like new/used items that I hope will inspire other crafters and knitters to purchase for their own pleasure and get those creative juices flowing.
Why have I decided to create this page and website? Well, my mum had a cancerous lump removed in 2019 followed by radio therapy at the Western General, Edinburgh. Sadly my mum passed away from another illness in December 2023 and following her funeral, my Dad and I took the generous donations collected at her funeral to the Breast Cancer Unit in Edinburgh where we met with Oliver Young MBChB, FRCS(Ed), who is the Consultant Surgeon & Clinical Director there. He spent time talking about my mum with my Dad and was so pleased and appreciative of our donation.
Following my Mums passing, she left me in her will, all her craft and knitting collection. Its taken me two years, but I have finally decided to do something with it all, so like my Mum, as she donated money made from her cards to the Breast Cancer Unit at Western General Hospital, I will be doing the same from these sales.
