Time...
Timing is everything in the clay world.
And apparently I don't have much time for creating and making! I had glazed this piece pre Christmas - a large centerpiece. Thrown on the potters wheel months prior (easily 18 months!). Finally had the opportunity to glaze fire it last Friday. Glaze beautifully matured..
Magic happened in that firing!
Any parties interested, this piece is available to purchase from the studio.

Songbird Ceramics release of a new range (just in time for Christmas! 😂🤣)
Patience is key to being a potter and the process of creating. So much goes on behind the scenes for the production and I am over the moon to bring this new range of work to literally the table!
It's been over a year of playing with clay and my glazes ... needed to pause a few times... (kilns paused too😶)... and I'm yet to name this work. An alchemy of porcelain and stoneware clay bodies, vessels with my signature Agateware as a subtle thread that connects all the work. I hope you enjoy the view! If you'd like to visit the studio please do so!
