Iona Crawford established her eponymous brand in 2007.

Inspired by
nature’s vast beauty, artisanal British cloth and exquisite craftsmanship,
Iona combines her passions for fine art and design to create a timeless yet
directional aesthetic. Since the launch of her brand, Iona has enjoyed
success internationally, showing her fashion and interiors collections in
Paris, Tokyo, London, Beijing and New York. Collectors of her paintings span the globe. Scottish landscape and natural
environment feature throughout various collections as an organic
extension of Iona's upbringing on a farm in rural Stirlingshire. Each
painterly print is derived from an original artwork, conjured up on location
and subsequently translated within her townhouse Atelier in Glasgow's
leafy west end. This direct translation from concept to cloth, wall-covering
and furnishing ensures the expressive style and depth of character is
vivid. Whilst Iona's painterly prints are directional and cement a unique design
identity, a harmonious balance is struck between her vibrant, often
satirical use of print and their pairing with rich and tonal fabrics. The
combination and contrast of each element results in distinctive, innovative
collections which lend themselves to a plethora of interior spaces. Iona

This November, we’re unveiling not one but two collections in New York, during BDNY.

Alongside our collaborative New Wave Glasgow Girls collection, we introduce CREATOR ~ our newest signature collection. A celebration of the extraordinary instinct to make.

Inspired by the artists, botanists, poets, composers and visionaries who shape our world, CREATOR explores the beautiful intersection of imagination, curiosity and expression.

From painterly to poetic, botanical to rhythmic, each design tells a story of ideas made tangible. A meeting of historic inspiration and contemporary creativity, honouring those who came before us and the new generation redefining what it means to create.

A new chapter in Glasgow’s creative story.

Last night, we brought together press, creators, Scottish creatives and friends of the brands to celebrate the official launch of New Wave Glasgow Girls.

With pieces from the collection woven throughout Margot’s Glasgow apartment, the setting offered a beautifully personal backdrop to discover the designs and meet Iona, Margot and the teams behind them.

After months of collaboration, seeing the collection come to life in a room filled with such wonderful people was an evening of joy.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to Giovanna and her brilliant team at Eusebi for the delicious bespoke canapés and generous hospitality.

A collection inspired by extraordinary Glasgow women. An evening celebrating the creative spirit that continues their story.

A meeting of creative minds. A journey of imagination.

Behind the scenes of New Wave Glasgow Girls, our newest collection in collaboration with Chelsea McLean Interiors.

What began as a relationship between client and supplier quietly blossomed into something altogether more extraordinary. A shared creative language, a meeting of minds, and a beautiful friendship woven through a mutual love of art, storytelling and design.

For Margo and I, this has been so much more than the creation of a collection. It has been a journey of discovery, of ideas exchanged and imaginations intertwined. A celebration of our individual creative voices, finding something entirely new together.

Inspired by the spirit of the Glasgow Girls, whose artistry and individuality continue to resonate, this collaboration has become a defining milestone in both our creative careers.

These photographs capture the moments between the milestones. The conversations, the curiosity, the considered details and the quiet joy of watching something once imagined slowly come to life.

A study in pattern, warmth and layered luxury at Hotel Mockingbird, Dallas, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel.

Our Kin Savannah artwork moves throughout the space, from statement wallcovering to richly upholstered soft furnishings ~ creating a dialogue of colour, texture and pattern that feels both bold and beautifully considered.

We love seeing one artwork interpreted across multiple surfaces, bringing its own distinctive rhythm to this sophisticated Dallas interior.

An artist’s eye. An interior designer’s instinct. A very Glasgow kind of chemistry.

In our third film, Iona and Margot take us inside the design process behind New Wave Glasgow Girls, bringing their different perspectives to one shared creative vision.

Iona Crawford Atelier × Chelsea McLaine Interior Design both founded and led by Glasgow girls, imagining a new chapter together.

Around the table, both teams shared words, ideas and the feelings they wanted the collection to evoke. Those conversations helped shape its personality, right down to the names of each design in the collection, which we’re keeping under wraps a little longer…
