A job in Cardonald finished tonight, hall was sanded, filled, ceiling done in white and walls freshened up with Armstead Dollshouse, woodwork was finished in satinwood

Before and afters of this beautiful home in Ayr getting a new lease of life.

It was all washed down, treated with stabilising solution ensuring any old flaky paint wouldn’t crumble through and ruin the new top coats and giving a solid surface to prepare and paint.

There was a lot of damage and cracks in the walls which were repaired by myself, I used a grinder and exterior filler to achieve the new look.

I also repaired and painted the chimney.

The walls were finished in brilliant white, the garage door, gate and fence were finished in sage green after thorough prep, the woodwork was treated with a fungicidal wash as well before coating.

This was a big job and I’m so happy with the results….dedication, determination and lots of coffee to keep me going 🤣

Hall, stairs and landing completed this week, old varnished wood was stain blocked, walls were sanded and prepped

Ceilings had two coats of white

Walls had 2 coats of candy tuft

Woodwork was primed after stain blocking then satinwood was applied to open this space up and gave it a fresh and bright facelift

Room was stripped, ceilings were prepared and painted, walls were lined and woodwork was change from old Stain to crisp white.

Walls were lined and another beautiful paper was hung.

What a job 👌

This weeks transformation is brought to you by myself and my good friend Martin Taylor of Taylors Decorators.

The room was stripped, ceiling had lots of movement cracks so they were raked out and taped and filled, walls were lined.

Ceiling and woodwork were painted in white

The wallpaper was an Italian paper which was a reverse hang pattern from Christian Masi, always check the leaflet when papering to ensure it’s hung properly.

Big thank you to Martin for helping out on this one, we started the next room today so keep your eyes peeled for the next masterpiece ☺️

A living room in Barrhead finished tonight, I was called in to rectify some terrible workmanship that was left, the ceiling that was supposed to be plastered had tons of imperfections and let’s just say it wasn’t finished….the paintwork was atrocious…..despite the company insisting it was finished, that’s all I will say as I don’t like slagging other peoples mistakes as no one’s perfect, this however was unacceptable.

Anyway, I skimmed the ceilings out, prepared the surfaces, cleaned them down, prepped etc.

I then painted the ceilings white along with walls, the feature wall is Natural Hessian by Dulux which adds a subtle tone of warmth and gives some depth into this crisp and fresh living area.

Woodwork was primed and given 2 coats of satinwood.

It looks really good now ☺️
