A little throwback to where it all started ❤️

This is our Maddy, who's nearly 11 now, helping me test fudge recipes in our kitchen!

When COVID hit, both Craig and I lost our jobs. We had two kids (now 3) to think about and needed to find a way to bring some money in.

So I started making fudge in our kitchen. We spent hours trying different recipes, getting the flavours right and eventually started selling it locally.

I'd bundle the kids into the broken £350 car i bought off ebay, and drive around our little village, delivering fudge door to door. Those were some crazy days, but that little car didnt let me down.

As the baking side of things grew, I started running into problems with getting perfectly even portions. I couldn't find the tools I needed, so we decided to make our own. And that's how Fudge My Life Tools was born!

Eventually I handed the bakery side of Fudge My Life over to my cousin Caity so she could build something around being a mum too, while I concentrated on growing the tools business.

Looking at this photo brings back so many memories. We had absolutely no idea what we were getting ourselves into, what started as a way to put food on the table during one of the hardest times of our lives has turned into a business supplying bakers around the world.

And to think it all started with a pan of fudge and my little helper ❤️
