Permission to pause x
As many of you know, Honey Hollow was something very special that I built alongside my husband Chris. It was something we shared, something we loved and something that holds so many precious memories for me.
As December approaches, I'm finding things increasingly difficult. We are coming up to a year since we lost Chris, and the reality of that first anniversary is beginning to feel very real.
The Christmas markets, the familiar places, the music, the atmosphere and all the little things that once brought us so much happiness are bringing a lot of emotions with them this year.
After lots of thought and conversations as a family, we've made the decision that our final market of the year will be Sunday 29th November at Whinstone View.
Following this, Honey Hollow will be taking a little break.
Our online shop will close, and we won't be accepting any online orders until the New Year.
Honey Hollow will always be a part of Chris's story, and I want to continue building something beautiful in his memory. But for now, I need to slow down, spend time with my family, make space for our feelings, as a family and navigate what I know will be a very emotional first anniversary without him for all of us.
If you're planning on coming along to see us at any of our remaining markets, please know that it really does mean the world to me. I'm busy making as many of your Honey Hollow favourites as I can, so that you can still find those special candles, home fragrances and lovely gifts that we've always loved creating for you.
Thank you to every single person who has supported Honey Hollow, whether you've bought a candle, visited us at a market, shared a post or simply stopped for a chat. Your kindness and support have meant more than you will ever know.
And to those of you who have supported me personally over the last year, thank you.
We'll be back in the New Year, but for now, we're giving ourselves permission to pause.
With love,
Claire 🤍
