Introducing Cristina Ariza to ALABAS.

Cristina Ariza is a London-based abstract mixed media artist whose work explores identity, movement, and belonging through colour, texture, and layered materiality.

Drawing on her relocation from Madrid to London, her practice embraces process over perfection, allowing cardboard, masking tape, raw canvas, paper, textiles, and gestural marks to remain visible within the work.

Her compositions reference urban landscapes and architectural fragments, balancing geometric structure with intuitive mark-making. Selected for their quiet tension between structure and freedom, the works reflect resilience, experimentation, and transformation.

During Milan Design Week, Marcin Rusak presents Forum Florum: Herbarium of the Present at SIAM 1838.

Forum Florum-Latin for “flower market”-reframes the flower beyond ornament, exploring it as a product shaped by systems of cultivation and control. The exhibition features flower-infused laminated glass panels as architectural elements, alongside new collectible pieces shown with archival works and a new body from the Flora series.
