The Candlemakers, Hexham 🕯️

A beautiful guest retreat in the heart of Hexham, beautifully decorated and adorned with our TRAM Prints and Lamps. Many of our local designs can be seen in this stunning getaway, and it was a pleasure going to photograph them in situ!

Andddd she’s on route back! Amy’s making her way back to TRAM HQ in her VW Camper with her gorgeous girls and dog, Baru in tow. Travelling from Italy, stopping off in some beautiful locations on the way…

It’s been a new venture for Amy leaving TRAM for such an extended period of time, it’s been a pleasure manning the shop, speaking to the loveliest of customers, running a workshop and making little renovation touches along the way. What a lush nearly 2 months we’ve both had, Amy in Italy and me in Hexham. Definitely ready to get back to working together at TRAM HQ, and all the new ventures that are to come! Stay tuned, and hope you’re all enjoying this glorious (if not slightly too sweaty) weather ☀️

Our little slice of heaven, in Hexham, Northumberland. TRAM has gone through so many transformations over the 15 years I’ve been at its helm, but I couldn’t be more proud of its current form. Driven by Meg, my incredible assistant, our in-store experience is now a stunningly colourful, beautifully curated yet handcrafted store ~ a place filled with wonder, and travel stories, and trips down memory lane, and wanderlust for places yet undiscovered.

This beautiful set of Corbridge Skyline Lampshades have settled perfectly into Juniper, into a thoughtfully converted chapel in Hexhamshire, owned by a lovely couple who chose our pieces for their guest retreat. Seeing our designs become part of spaces where people relax, reconnect and make memories is the reason we do what we do.

I never fail to stop in my tracks as I turn the corner and see the castle for the first time. Sitting so majestically, yet humbly, on top of its little hill. There’s a magic and a history there that I can feel in the air. If my designs manage to even slightly capture that essence, my job as an artist is worthwhile.

Available as art-gallery-standard framed prints, or painstakingly handprinted onto coasters, bookmarks, keyrings, scarves, teatowels, lampshades, placemats… the list keeps growing. Everything is designed, printed and made by us, in-store, on carefully-sourced, earth-friendly, quality materials.

So whether you’re looking for a gift for a loved one (or a gift for yourself, no judgment here, self care is highly encouraged!), then I’m sure you’ll find something you fall in love with.
