I have long been ridiculed for my want of a botanical area in the shop . This week my dream was realised when I arrived to this new window display . Luckily, the light today just about allows a half decent photo. So for all you budding horticulturalists out there who love that zingy green of fresh beech leaves - enjoy ! 😊

Well it’s a funny old day. We’ve been in the new shop for a year now but today we finally finished moving the last of our things out of the old place to make way for the new folks .

We love our new shop and bistro but seeing the old place paired back and recalling the excitement moving there 10 years ago takes us back . No display can look as good as those beside the original pointed wall . ( chair still current 😀)

Well welcome to the weekend everyone. Practising with my camera effects today whilst also conveying our lunchtime specials.

How about Korean chicken burger with fries or Beef curry with gluten free pitta bread. ( as well as so much homemade goodness from our deli counter )

Shop wise we are enjoying mixing colour and texture into our new displays . Also worth mentioning is our little bargain of the moment . We have a large array of roller blinds, multiple sizes ( can also be altered to fit ) we are selling off. Prices range from between £25 to £45. We have a few in our shop but please just ask to see the majority of them currently stored in the old shop. Such bargains to be had.

Finally a little preening on our part . How good does our little bird house look. 😂 Just need the birds to like it as much as we do .

Keeping it fresh and spring-like today.

Our chefs Kenny and David have been hard at work creating our new seasons menu which will be launched this Thursday . We cannot wait to try out the results of their creativity.

Because of the continuing prep for tomorrow, last orders for lunchtime menu on Wednesday is 2pm.

Our current special is garlic meatballs on a toasted ciabatta with Monterey Jack cheese on top . Slowly developing my role as specials tester and can heartily recommend.

On the shop interiors front, our new layout gives us so much more wall space for artwork, mirrors and clocks . There are lots just waiting to be found in a shop floor brimming with lovely pieces .

What are you up to this weekend ?

We at Manse, are working each day should you wish to join us for a coffee or light refreshment, a browse and a little something for lunch.

Today’s Good Friday special is Teriyaki Salmon with Noodles .

And for Sunday we are keeping it low key and wholesome with Shepherd’s Pie and also Lamb Kofta with Flat Bread.

For afters we have Mini Egg Cheesecake to tempt you .
