We are so excited to announce the next date for Makers in the Valley is the 29th November 2026! We will be hosted once again in the gorgeous barn at Adam Brown 🥰

Applications are now open for all of the wonderful artists and makers who would love to showcase with us. Simply pop us a DM with your email address and we will send along the details and an application form or pop us an email [email protected]

Another wonderful day in the Barn! We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our incredible stallholders and guests for making the day so special.

🎨To our talented stallholders – we hope you had some fantastic conversations, made new connections and enjoyed sharing your amazing skills, creativity and passion with everyone who visited. The talent we are fortunate to showcase never ceases to amaze us.

🛍️To our guests – thank you for coming along and supporting local makers, artists and creatives. We hope you were as blown away as we always are by the incredible talent that lives right here on our doorstep. Your support is truly invaluable and means so much to each and every maker and artist.

👐A special thank you also goes to our volunteers. We had even more helping hands today, and every single one of you was simply incredible. Events like this wouldn’t run so smoothly without your enthusiasm, kindness and hard work.

🐄 To Bidlea Dairy, the Orchards Farm for allowing us to use the gorgeous barn again! It really does provide the perfect backdrop 👌🏼

🤩And finally, a heartfelt thank you to Alison and Will from Bridge the Gap. Alongside the two Jo’s, they form our planning committee, and without their dedication, support, and countless hours behind the scenes, none of this would be possible.

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make today such a success. Thank you for being part of our wonderful community – we can’t wait to do it all again! ✨

🌱😶‍🌫️Last but certainly not least, we are absolutely delighted to welcome back the wonderful Clare our Tropic Skincare Ambassador, to the Makers in the Valley market tomorrow! While you might be used to seeing traditional handcrafted goods at our market, we knew Clare and Tropic Skincare would be the perfect fit because they truly embody the spirit of supporting high-quality, British-made products. Just like our talented makers, Tropic is incredibly passionate about what goes into their creations, ensuring they use only the good stuff with absolutely no nasties! 🥰

Clare will be showcasing Tropic’s fantastic range of freshly made, natural and cruelty-free skincare, body care and makeup. It is a brilliant opportunity to discover products that are just as kind to your skin as they are to the planet. We are so happy to welcome back Rebecca from Primrose Crafts and Margaret from Made By Margaret, the lovely mother-daughter duo who bring a spectacular range of crafts to the market! Their combined stall offers a perfect blend of unique, modern artistry and cozy, traditional textiles.

✨Meet Rebecca - The Quirky Artist
Rebecca specialises in unique and quirky jewellery and resin art, combining unexpected materials for beautiful results! Her jewellery is handcrafted from sterling silver and stainless steel combined with fascinating elements like pressed flowers, recycled books, crystals and miniature acrylic paintings!

Rebecca also makes bookmarks, ornaments, coasters, keyrings,and fun Needlefelt decorations.

🧶Meet Margaret - The Master Knitter
Margaret brings the classic warmth of traditional fibre arts, perfect for fighting off the winter chill!
Cozy Aran hats, headbands, snoods, gloves, wrist-warmers and scarves.

We are proud to welcome Liz to the Makers in the Valley market, representing ConNEXTions—a fantastic Recovery Hub based in Crewe, Cheshire. ConNEXTions provides a non-judgmental, confidential service aimed at helping individuals with addiction issues re-establish their self-esteem and confidence. They achieve this through wonderful group activities like meditation, writing, exercise, and, of course, arts and crafts, all within a fun and friendly environment. 🎨♥️

Here at Makers in the Valley, we are huge believers in art as therapy, and we are honored to support everyone who is giving their absolute best on their recovery journey. We hope our market community provides them with even more encouragement to keep going and keep making beautiful things! We always love introducing this one, one of our very own, the incredibly talented Jo Green 💚🎨
As one of our very own wonderful organisers, Jo is not only a vital part of our community team but also the creative mastermind behind our beautiful, signature swing features at the market. Jo is a true Gelli Printing master. She loves to forage in nature, gathering leaves and flowers to use alongside vibrant acrylics, bringing her stunning, colourful pieces to life.

Jo’s unique process means that every single item she creates is a true one-of-a-kind treasure. Her beautiful collection includes notebooks, bookmarks, coasters, original artwork prints and so much more. Best of all, you can catch her live and see her fascinating printing process in action tomorrow!
