This burgandy beauty was a bespoke creation for Nicola & Samuel for their wedding last weekend at Hotel du Vin in Wi******er.

They chose Vanilla Bean & Raspberry and White Chocolate & Passionfruit accompanied by Dark Chocolate Covered Honeycomb, Vanilla Bean Fudge and White Chocolate Passionfruit Macarons.

Time to get the buttercream 'paint' palette out again and add some serious drama to this Lemon & Almond and Peach & Prosecco cake for the very lovely Isabelle & Tom today. I absolutely love doing this on site, letting it take shape while the venue is set up around me.

Thanks to Sam and Claire of Sam Savage | Dorset Wedding Planner for being so helpful, lending me scissors, holding space in the chiller on such a hot day and generally being lovely company. Hope the Hugo Spritz went down a treat!

The cake flowers were freshly homegrown and alongside these very realistic, very ecologically thoughtful faux blooms, you can hardly tell the difference, amazing.

Looking forward to a quiet weekend with my family.

First things first...Honeycomb!

It's official. The Goldfinch Kitchen has finally found its new home by the sea 🤍

After an exciting 10 days of settling in, I am back in a beautiful new kitchen, figuring out how the heck it all works and preparing cakes and treats for my next wedding.

So good to be putting down roots in this beautiful place.

Their intimate celebration, expertly curated and managed by Mel & Daneille of MELANIE & DANIELLE | Planning Beautiful Weddings & Events was bathed in September sunshine overlooking the bay.

The couple requested a Gluten and Dairy Free cake of Lemon & Almond and Strawberry & Vanilla Bean with Fresh Flowers supplied by Martha and the Meadow | Dorset Floral Studio and Macarons for each of their guests in complimenting flavours.
