My little owls are all finished and happily sitting on their fence posts in the garden ready for visitors from 12th September. Things are slowly taking shape😬

I’ve been thinking this through, it might be the case if I can further reduce the moisture content then maybe I’ll be able to get the reclaim out of the pillowcase and go straight to the wedging stage. So I don’t have to deal with the messy bit of getting the still very wet and sticky reclaim onto the plaster batt to dry further before wedging 🤔🤞

I managed with a bit of help from someone with a chop saw and a lump hammer to install my gardener fence post toppers along the edge of my garden path. They’ll be here to see along with some other garden sculptures during from 12th -20th September. l’m number 80 in the catalogue

These gardens are in the kiln cooling. I’m hoping to open the kiln tomorrow. I’ve treated each one differently, one dipped in copper oxide, one in iron oxide and the other I’ve left as is. I’m looking forward to seeing the results. North East Open Studios

My thinking was it’ll be easier to get a fence post fixing into to ground by using a fixing spike but I’m now wondering if it’d be easier to just dig a hole🤔😮‍💨 either way it’s going to be hard work 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 they’ll be ready for
