We needed a little shoot to keep our creative juices flowing last October…inspired by this incredible blue gown by Alternative Wedding Dresses that we had used before and dia de los mu***os, big statement headdress by me, amazing blue/pink makeup by the very talented Emma Garrod Bridal Make Up Artist Suffolk & Norfolk and the eye of Caroline Horne Suffolk Photography

Loved this mini shoot we did this time last year…just me, my daughter, Caroline Horne Suffolk Photography and Emma Garrod Bridal Make Up Artist Suffolk & Norfolk at the lovely Columbine Hall Kate Elliott and some blue gowns from Alternative Wedding Dresses and Lace and Beads 🩵🩷
It was the day 1000s of ladybirds descended and were landing on Ruby, the walls, flying inside! It was quite surreal… 🩵🩷

Fancy creating something a bit different for your door this Christmas? It appears the world and his wife host wreath classes these days…mine give you lots of different foliages to choose from to create a textural beauty, velvet or wired ribbons in all sorts of colours and you can leave it at that or you can stamp your own style on it, like I did here for mine last year…
So what’s it going to be…ordinary or something a bit more lively? I know what mines gonna be…

Morning gorgeous ones…it may only be October but we all know how time is a disappointing commodity and given that the build up to Christmas is my favourite time and can’t be hurried, I’m already fully immersed. It’s a time for taking time to make, plan, create something colourful and celebratory…I’m going all out colour this year. Emerald green, bright orange and pink with touches of turquoise and scarlet…using fun products from Talking Tables and Sparkle Lighting | Online Pretty Lights Retailer -UK…I’m excited 💚🧡🩷🩵❤️

Morning beautiful people 🥰
I’m looking to some of my favourite past colour combinations for inspiration for my handmade Christmas retreat. I’m also making a lot of the decorations myself this year…my retreat is for people to make things but I feel as much of the decorations should also be handmade, so I’m on it this year. There will be 2 tablescapes for my guests to sit at and of course, loads of colour 🎄🎄🎄
Remember my exuberant autumn tablescape which was a bit controversial? It was just after one of our photoshoots and I had some beautiful (unworn!) shoes on the table waiting to be put away. The colours were perfect so I incorporated them into the floral runner.
The shoes were bought on Vinted and I’m a big fan. All sorts of gems can be found on there. Are you a fan? What were you most excited about finding on Vinted?

Do you like to be different? I’ve always loved doing something different, creating something different…my love of colour is my constant, always has been. This beautiful day in a wild flower meadow in August with a bunch of my favourite people embraced all the things we love…colour, flowers, textures, light.
