🧡 A Little Market Update, Y'all! 🧡

Unfortunately, Y’allright? won't be at the Ivybridge Market today. This weather and I just don't get along, and sometimes I've got to listen to my body!

But don't you worry! We've still got plenty of Southern goodness coming your way!

🌼 The Goody Box will be OPEN tomorrow morning (Friday)!

🧡 And come see us Saturday, November 7th, at the Watermark Artisan Market from 9:30 AM to 1 PM!

We'll be bringing plenty of homemade Southern goodness, sweet treats, and a whole lot of Southern hospitality!

❄️✨ WINTER WONDERLAND ARRIVES AT CHAPEL PLACE! ✨❄️

As part of Ivybridge’s Christmas festivities, Chapel Place is getting ready to welcome a little winter magic! 🎄

🔔 Snow is falling and Jingle Bells are jingling…

Join us on Friday 27 November for some festive family fun, with:

🦌 Reindeer food making
🎨 Face painting (£2)
📸 Our Winter Photo Booth – perfect for capturing a special Christmas picture- old school style with festive props, twinkling lights and a seasonal backdrop. A little dressing up, a little silliness and a lovely keepsake to take home — just good old-fashioned photo fun! 🎅✨

And when you fancy a little pause in the festivities, pop up to our Garden Gallery, overlooking the hall for a seasonal hot drink and a slice of cake. ☕🍰

Through the beautiful full-length windows and doors, you’ll catch a glimpse of our Secret Garden beginning to sparkle with festive lights. It’s still a work in progress, so you won’t be able to step outside just yet – but you can enjoy a little sneak peek of the magic taking shape!

I'm genuinely heartbroken over the passing of Sir Patrick Stewart. 💔

He was probably my very first British crush. I mean, come on. Older, distinguished, bald, British, THAT VOICE. The man ticked every single box. 😂❤️

I grew up watching the original Star Trek with William Shatner, and then came The Next Generation. Captain Jean-Luc Picard was everything. Intelligent, compassionate, dignified, strong, and always believing that humanity could be better than it was.

But it wasn't just Captain Picard I adored. It was the man behind him.

His openness about his childhood, growing up with a mother who suffered domestic violence. His humanitarian work, his advocacy for survivors of abuse, his love for animals, his kindness, his humour, and his willingness to use his voice to make a difference. He was so much more than an incredible actor. He seemed like a genuinely decent human being.

And I think that's why this one hurts so much.

When we lose the people we grew up watching and admiring, it's like losing another little piece of our own childhood. Another reminder that the world we grew up in is slowly slipping away.

I always joked that Patrick Stewart was going to be my next husband. Apparently, the man just couldn't wait for me. 😂💔

Thank you, Sir Patrick, for the memories, the laughter, the inspiration, and for showing us that being a gentleman never goes out of style.

One last cup of Earl Grey for you, Captain.

Rest easy, Sir Patrick. You were one hell of a human being. 🧡
