Well it's been a minute huh, 3 months to be exact 🫣
I hear you asking, what exactly have I been doing for the last 3 months that has taken me away from posting on social media, honestly, I don't have a reason, I just need to take a break from social media now and again. It seems that this has been my longest break yet.
I have still been baking lots of beautiful cakes and cupcakes and my diary is open for more. I will be taking it easy for the rest of the school holiday before a busy September.
I have also been embarking on a journey of learning how to bake sourdough to enjoy at home with my family.
Have I missed anything new in the world of social media?
The cake pictured is a cake I made for Free Cakes Bedford, a local charity that supplies cakes for children and young adults that otherwise wouldn't have a cake on their birthday. It went down very well, the birthday girl loved it and I really enjoyed seeing the reaction it got.
This style of cake is heavily influenced by Katie Stymiest I love the intricate piping. So classically beautiful.
Probably a very unpopular opinion, but I much prefer this style of piping to the vintage style of piping 🤷♀️
