It’s Ideal Home Show time again 😅 and I managed to get set up in time. Just!!!

This year I’m introducing these utterly fabulous table lamps. ❤️

I have 2 at the show. One in a retro inspired fabric and the other in the luxurious Renoir velvet.

I’ll be slowly adding more designs into my Etsy shop and website. There are so many different styles and combinations which is really exciting. You can have a truly unique table or floor lamp.

Everyone loves the double sided lampshades. I adore making these and they work so well as a ceiling or for a table lamp.

I love it when my fabulous customers ask me to create a lampshade for them. I’ve been wanting to make both designs for ages, but I’ve been so busy keeping up with my orders I just have not had the time to work on new designs. This Japanese fabric is one of my best sellers for a very good reason. The pattern features cranes flying through the clouds and the gold thread absolutely pops and adds some 👌 🥰 The double sided lampshade with a black velvet outside is stunning and will add definite wow to your ceiling or lamp. The multidirectional print lends itself so well to the empire shape too. Both styles will be added into my Etsy shop and website.

What year in lampshade land it’s been.

I just want to say a massive Thank You 😘 to everyone who has supported me on my crazy journey.

The highlights of my year were exhibiting at The Ideal Home Show in Glasgow and The Country Living Fair in London. Getting to meet my customers and chat pattern and home decor will always be my favourite thing.

It’s also wonderful to meet so many inspiring creators and makers. I love that we’re out there creating our pieces and so many want to be a part of that.

November and December were absolutely crazy but I’m feeling refreshed after a few days off at Christmas. I have some new designs coming and will soon be adding cushions to my Etsy shop and website.

So here are my best sellers for 2024 and I’m sure you can see why.

Firstly we have the stunning Heron lampshade. The muted colours and painterly design make for a truly beautiful lampshade. Its subtle colours fit easily with most interior colours. Currently it’s selling fast with a champagne liner for some added warmth. As a classic empire lampshade style it works so well too.

Secondly the utterly gorgeous Renoir velvet fabric in multi has flown out my door. The vibrant colours and abstract pattern reminiscent of an Impressionist painting just works. I love it with the mirror gold liner or even just white to really let the colours pop when the lamp is lit. This fabric was a customer request and I’m so glad she did. I love it 😍

Thirdly Jungle Birds in black velvet. This has been popular in extra large table lampshades. I won’t lie it’s not the easiest to pattern match but it’s so worth it. As an extra large table or floor lamp it looks absolutely 👌. This was one of the first fabrics I ever bought when I started making lampshades 3 years ago, so I do have a soft spot for it. Alongside the red parrot there’s a peacock and a toucan all hiding among fabulous lush jungle foliage. What’s not to like!

And finally here’s one I made for myself today. With its retro vibes and burnt orange colour this scion fabric looks amazing. A customer ordered several of these in different colours for ceiling shades which will look pretty cool in their hallway and living room. I couldn’t resist.

So again, thank you for making 2024 one of the best years I’ve ever had and all the best to everyone for 2025.

I don’t do new year so I’m tucked up on the sofa with my cats. But whatever you’re up to have a fabulous evening and year to come.

Sadly thanks to dhl not collecting my stock from London I won’t be at the Oban Winter Festival today. 😞

Harry and I are very upset to be missing it as it’s such a great experience and the town work so hard to make such a brilliant event. Have a great time everyone.

But as I have over 100 open orders it’s head down here and I’ll be catching up on making lampshades and getting them posted out as soon as possible.

We’ve woken up to quite a snow fall here so I’ll be raiding the emergency snacks and curling up with a good book later on.

Stay warm everyone whether it’s snow or rain you’re getting today.

Our last day here at the Country Living Christmas Market 😅

Harry has been an absolute 🌟 getting coffees and minding stands. Very proud of how he offers to help everyone and enjoys himself.

Apparently over 4000 people expected today so I expect we’ll feel a bit 🥱 later on.

Day 2 here in London and it’s busy. I’ve got my eye on some fabulous bags 🫣
Already had some great chats with customers and Harry has been shopping. He loves a market. He’s also fetching coffee for the other vendors.

Everyone is loving the double lined lampshades. The prefect way to add some colour and style to a ceiling shade. So much more interesting than a white inside.

The Renoir velvet fabric with its multi colour pattern is also proving as popular as ever. It just fits so well in any room colour scheme, especially if you don’t want a big pattern.

First day here at the Country Living Christmas Market and it’s already getting busy 😊 So many lovely artists and makers for some very special Christmas gifts and decor. And I get some more London time 🥰

A long day getting the wallpaper up and unpacking boxes. But so happy to be here. It did take a lot of organising but I made it!! 😁

This year I’ll be here and at the Oban Winter Festival for my Christmas markets.

The Country Living Market runs until Saturday 16th November and I’ll be in Oban 23rd November.

Loving the pretty duck egg blue with the yellow, white and grey circles in these wee lampshades.

Very much the mid century/Scandi vibes with the geometric retro split circle design. A simple design but a strong impact.

Perfect as a pair of bedside table lampshades or brightening up a hallway table.

This is a lovely soft cotton fabric from Prestigious Textiles Southbank collection which has an on trend Scandi influence.
