A wonderful father & husband, brother, uncle, a “step in” faither and a big pal to many.

Wishing you the best day Johnny Bhoy. We all love you so very much.

We have something in the works with oor Wee No but with the fire within the town centre, we put a hold on everything to allow a bit of breathing time and are so happy to see Johnny Boy is hoping to be back in works with Project Pop Up Scotland after the upsetting circumstances they are hoping to rebuild and offer Kilmarnock a space for creative minds alike to meet and share their work. A great cause which has had a huge positive impact on my dad’s confidence and overall day to day routine. Very grateful to the folks over there for making him so welcome.

So aye in the words of John ..

Hello all

My artworks were getting shown in Project Pop Up Scotland in Kilmarnock town centre along with about twenty other artists and craftspeople locally to the town. The shop was badly damaged by a fire in the building next door and everything in it was ruined all my framed prints of Wee No along with everyone else's works.

The fall of the shop along with all who used the space are gutted about it all and we are all hoping to get together and re build the shop to the way it was or may have to find new premises and start again. They was only opened a couple of months and the community were getting used to it and is was a really safe place to be. No matter what you condition you were in mentally or physically you were looked after and welcomed there. The perfect place for wee no and what he stands for. So it is now time to rise up and start again in getting project pop up Scotland back in the killie toon map 👍

The many faces of No

No came to my head when thinking about how in the years following from my accident I struggled with the new me and in many ways fought against the severity of my injuries and accepting my disabilities. I tried my all to continue life as normal, return to the jobs I once found so easy and as I have always been a people’s person thought I was returning the same man before the accident. What I hadn’t realised was that I had changed. I once before was unaware of the world of disabilities and just how much my personality and physical abilities have changed.

I soon found that a percentage of the general public think you can't do certain things in life due to brain injuries, mental illness and other disabilities. I was thinking to myself saying “no I can do this” and I can do that” .. so No means yes I can .

The image of No just came into my mind as a wee guy with strange features , his mouth stitched closed and his long two fingered hands with his unusual body shape reflects how a lot of people look at disabled or mentally handicapped people. All people young or old . No matter what colour or religion should be equal and I believe life is within our bodies, within our soul and is not on our skin or build . So No mean's equality to all . And nothing is impossible to us all if we put our minds to it

So much to come from this little guy.

Hello all,

I just thought I'd inform you of my latest status , on 21st of march I another wee catastrophy in life, I was at an AA meeting thought I was having a wee dizzy turn and collapsed. Turns out I had a stroke and the next thing I know I'm in an ambulance heading to crosshouse hospital, after a lot of mistakes my the A&E staff, that you may find out about in a later date. I spent the next two weeks in the stroke ward where I was looked after by amazing staff. After I was discharged I struggled to get on with normal life and I still am. My family are struggling too to take it all in .
I had struggled to write and draw but I am getting there and my doodling is now getting better. Wee NO is now on the go again and I'm starting to do other wee drawings and what I would call phsycatelic images that come into my mind.

So there you go life's not perfect but I'm still here ODAAT, keep on keeping on , much love to you ALL👍

Hello friends 🎨

We’ve been a bit quiet on here.

For those of you who don’t know oor Johnny Boy suffered a stroke on the 20th March .. only 9 days before the 13th anniversary of his accident. As you can appreciate this has taken a huge toll on his mental and physical state but we are determined to get him back in good shape & health.

This little character and the plans we have for him will continue & we are looking forward to sharing more of the journey of mr No with you all ❤️

As my dad has always said, “keep the heed” and watch this space. Good things are coming.

Oor wee pal No has been the talk of the toon.

Truly overwhelmed for the support and the kind comments. Whit started as a wee hobby has become so much more. There is always tomorrow. There is always a new day. There is always a chance to get back on the path.
