We had a lovely morning at Dove Court Care Home today, getting in the Halloween mood.

The residents enjoyed crafting some spooky bunting of halloween bats and pumpkins 🎃

It's great for individuals cognitive skills and for them to engage in different activities.

We had a lovely morning crafting today.

We all crafted different things, which was lovely. One of the ladies crafted a beautiful Christmes Wax melt Burner another a very pretty Bottle Lamp, with a Sea Life Scene on and finally a Storage Jar with sea turtles on. Everyone did a lovely job.

Still working with a Halloween theme 🤪 the residents of Rose Lodge Care Home - Barchester Healthcare had a lot of fun crafting these lovely pumpkins 🎃

We used paper napkins and pipe cleaners. I think you would agree that they all turned out pretty good.

It was lovely to see that the othere Halloween crafts which the residents also made with me over the years had been kept and were on display. 😊

It's getting to that time again.....Halloween 👻

At Briar House Care Home the residents had a lot of fun making hanging halloween bats, that light up! We also had spooky cup cakes 🧁which were delicious 😋 and a fluffy friend came to say hello 👋

A great morning full of conversations and laughter 😃

I was back at Dove Court Care Home and it was great.

We crafted Forget-Me-Not paper plaques and then did a bit of colouring.

We chatted about the flowers 💐 we liked and the meaning of the Forget-Me-Not flowers as September is the month for Alzheimes and thoes living with dementia.

I think the residents did a great job. Well done!

Last Friday was a great day, with two workshops, one in the morning and another in the afternoon.

In the morning I was at Rose Lodge Care Home - Barchester Healthcare, we crafted some paper Hyacinths 🪻and they turned out very nice. I was then asked to join some of the residents for lunch, which was lovely, as it gave us the opportunity to have a nice chat.

Then I was off to Hickathrift House Care Home - Barchester Healthcare, where the residents made some lovely Forget-Me-Not plaques using paint and decoupage and they did a great job. This was my last workshop working along side Kat, the activities co-ordinator, as she moves on, to further her career. It's been a pleasure working with you over the years.

The residents enjoyed crafting some lovely mosaic flowers. We had a lot of fun while enjoying a lovely cuppa and some biscuits 😋
