Our team has been busy beavering away on the hill and in the butchery while we process the last of the stags this month - we're all looking forward to a wee breather before the hind season starts proper.
We had hoped to release a batch of boxes for online orders to satisfy customer demand for Christmas, however our venison has literally been flying off the shelves in our community shop and hasn't allowed us to build the range of stock to enable that to happen. That's fantastic for us as a community enterprise whose ambition is to actively contribute to Knoydart's circular economy and the community's aims for climate action, food security and resilience. I understand that some of our valued customers from further afield will be disappointed but I'm sure you will understand that such high demand on Knoydart looks like success to us!
There are more and more small wild venison processors out there and if you are set on wild venison for Christmas - have a wee look at what is on offer near to you as supporting local can't go far wrong.
