It’s subtle but that’s what makes it special.

We’re proud to exhibit the work of up and coming designer, Hannah Stewart.

Graduating in 2025 from the BA Hons Contemporary Design Crafts course at Hereford College of Arts, Hannah developed her debut collection ‘Turning Connections’ under the name .h.designs

The collection is a contemporary twist on functional homeware, created through skillful woodturning and marquetry. It features intricate linework and pattern created through the clever use of inlaid wood veneers.

Jennie Hale is the mastermind behind these playful bird sculptures.

Each bird is hand sculpted, glazed and raku fired by Jennie. Picture her working in her studio by the side of Colliford lake in Cornwall, surrounded by flora and fauna, watching the birds bob by.

The shape is everything - they’re playfully rotund with turned up tails. Personally, we adore their silly scrunched up little faces.

We only have 5 available and each is different; a Robin, Bullfinch, Blue Tit, Goldcrest and Stonechat.

Opening tomorrow! We’re proud to share the skilful woodturning of emerging designer, Hannah Stewart.

Graduating in 2025 from the BA Hons Contemporary Design Crafts course at Hereford College of Arts, Hannah developed her debut collection ‘Turning Connections’ under the name .h.designs

The collection is a contemporary twist on functional homeware; exquisitely crafted candle holders, lamps and lampshades, each with intricate linework and pattern.

Not only is her woodturning and marquetry undoubtedly stylish, but she passionately uses reclaimed materials, from torn-out stair banisters to a 200 year old fence.

Throughout the exhibition we'll be sharing insight into her unique practice and what makes these beautiful objects so special. In the meantime, join us for the launch of Hannah's solo showcase this Saturday, at the very start of what will certainly be a promising career.
