We are a 5 min walk from Richard the Third and Leicester Cathedral. In the Heart of Leicester Lanes. I am surrounded by lovely little Independent shops who rely on your support in these hard times. This may be called Mother’s Day, but I recon it should be a celebration for Mum’s but also everyone who has ever had a Mother. I no longer have a Mum, but every year I buy myself a little gift that I would have given her. That’s what she would have wanted me to do. I do also feel mildly uncomfortable promoting all the lovely gifts I have in store that you could buy your crafty Mum for Mother’s Day. I truly believe actions speak louder than money ever could. Why not ask your Mum to teach you the craft she loves? Or as I hope, that my 20 year old Son takes me to the climbing wall for the afternoon, then lets me teach him what I know about crochet! ( not lots!) Not great for business 🤣 But how I honestly feel. Be happy. Be kind. 🙂

Big ‘un is just £7.99 300g. It takes a 20mm size needle which made me quickly order some in as I think this will be a popular yarn and one I’ve been asked for a lot recently! Can’t wait to knit up a sample 🙂👍🏻🧶

Stylecraft Special DK is such a great yarn! I was totally inspired by this gorgeous new 100% cotton fabric I’ve just had in. It’s £11.00 a metre or £3.00 for a fat quarter. Spring is on its way!

I am so sorry but I won’t be standing at Loughborough Market tomorrow 8th Jan. Mainly due to the bad weather forecast later in the day. I just can’t risk the stock getting damaged by the rain or even snow. Then having to get home which is an hours drive for me in an old van, in possible blizzards! So massive apologies if I’ve let anyone down. Fingers crossed it will be calm and dry and sunny next Thursday!! Stay warm and be careful in the snow! ###

Happy Christmas! Here are my opening times over Christmas and New Year. I’ve tried to balance making sure I have a well earned break with also being open for all your lovely knitting and haberdashery needs! Thank you for all your in store visits and Likes on social media over the past year. Being a small independent business run all my myself, I appreciate every single one of you in every way! I’m only bricks and mortar, so you can only come in and buy what you need, but I love that personal service it means I can give you. Thank you for all your support. And keep coming into leicester and let’s build back up the number of small independents that made and will make Leicester special and unique once again. Happy Christmas. #
