Hi everyone 👋 I haven't posted in a while and have probably lost quite a lot of interaction with my page, so if you do see this post, please give it a ♥️ to help me build it back up again 🙏
I've taken the plunge and have been playing around with a fab new machine, so that I can offer in time some variations of current products, I can't wait to see what opportunities this will give me, for now it's all a bit of a learning curve!
I've been testing the water with one of my current acrylic and vinyl designs this weekend and have engraved it on an oak veneer disc. I'm just adding the finishing touches and these will be available to buy soon!

A little branding refresh...
It's always difficult when you are your own toughest critic, sometimes things just need a change in order to bring other things together.
This butterfly came from a set of graphics I used when I designed my Mums order of service for her funeral in 2015. I don't know why I never thought about using it within my logo before now, as it just seems so fitting and so bloody obvious now!!
I've changed the colour of it to match my branding and introduced a dusky pink colour. Things happen for a reason, and sometimes stepping back and reflecting enables more positive and meaningful outcomes 🦋

So it's been a while since my last post, so I thought it was time to pop a little update on, just to say hello and that I'm very much still here 👋
This year for Little Flutterby I feel it is all about consolidating, fine tuning and getting online!
Like many other small businesses I have young children, it's a learning curve and a balance - my kids are still young and life is a busy mix, which will be forever changing and adapting. My eldest is now 6 and my youngest is 3, he will be starting school in September 😭, so with this in mind I would like to start trying to build things up a little more.
Whilst I enjoy doing craft fairs and meeting new faces along the way, an awful lot of time goes into doing them. I love being in the same environment as fellow crafters who share the same ambitions and love for what we do, we share the joy of selling something you have made, but also the disappointment when it just hasn't been your day. Whilst I had some brilliant fairs last year and tested the water with some different places, there are some fairs that were also not as successful. Whether it was a combination of high stall costs, low footfall and just generally not the right audience for my products - No two fairs are the same!
Whilst I feel apprehensive about putting my products out there online, dotting the I's and crossing the T's on every bit of information from product info to returns and delivery policies, it will hopefully all be worth it and will either work 🤞 or not.
So please keep an eye on my posts for more updates and product info coming soon!

A Little Bit About Little Flutterby
After having a little girl in the summer of 2017, I later decided not to return to work. We don’t have anyone to help out with her during the day and the cost of putting her into nursery full time and missing out on all of those precious moments wasn’t really an option for me and my partner. So, we fine-tuned our finances and here I am!
I have always been career driven and ambitious so being a stay at home mum was never going to be enough for me. It has always been my dream to have something of my own, something that, the more I put in the more I get out of it - Not financially (Although that would also be nice too eventually!), just something for me to develop and something that I can say is ‘mine’.
I originally started out as a graphic designer, working with graphics, print, artwork and branding. In more recent years I moved into web design and web development, also combining online marketing with sales, building customer relationships, team and project management. I always put my heart and soul into my work and if I’m not happy with it, I will work until I am - Which can have its fors and against!
We all have to start somewhere right? So, this is my beginning.
Since having ‘J’ I have been constantly racking my brain trying to think of a ‘Niche’ market and what I can do to be different. But what is a niche market these days? I have come to the conclusion that everyone is different, offering their own take on products and alls I can do is be me, put a few things out there and see what happens.
The work I do is currently all done by me, at home (With a nice cup of tea of course). Any papercuts are designed first and are then machine cut.
I would like to build up a range of gifts, keepsakes, crafts and wedding stationary that I believe are quality but affordable.

The company name? Having lost someone very special to me in September 2015, I believe that my ”Little Flutterby” is never far away.
