Ceramic interpretations of Bradgate Park bracken.

These pendants are all made from a single frond of bracken, from near The Sliding Stones, by Old John in Bradgate Park.

I took the bracken home, and pressed it into clay.
I fired it and use this as an impression mould.

I press clay into the mould to make detailed ceramic bracken pieces.

You can really see the imprint of the bracken, and feel the texture of the leaves.

The difference in the textures and glazes make the pendants a perfect wearable fidget stone.

I'm making a load of labels.

My pieces are quite often small and very detailed. I mean I know exactly what each one is and where it came from...
But not everyone else has the same intimate knowledge of my life and work😆

So here I am prepping labels for:

-The Bradgate Park Summer Fayre 13 and 14 June.
-The Quorn Art Fair Saturday 20 June.
